Silas Will Not Return as Bobcats Head Coach
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Charlotte Hornets Team Forum
Can't blame Silas for any of their shortcomings (if that's a good word for it...probably better for me to just call it their disaster). He has had decent coaching stints with other teams in the past, and if I recall correctly, he coached the Hornets about a decade ago and didn't do THAT bad of a job, especially during that first lockout season. He's not an elite coach, but this Bobcats team was just horrible, period. -
Butler Not Ruling Out Playing
Real Deal replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
I actually think that Nick Young shocked Memphis a bit. The Grizzlies went in knowing how Butler was going to play with these guys. Young...there was no gameplan for. It reminds me of teams that lose their star players, and end up winning games without them for a small amount of time. Teams just have to go back from scratch and figure out how they are going to play. Can't see the Clips winning this series, but who knows. -
Anthony Davis is not Hakeem Olajuwon, either. I didn't make the direct comparison between the two prospects. You can't sit there and tell me that Davis is one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA when he hasn't played a single NBA game, and has not been on the floor against five other NBA players at once just yet, nor has he defended a 7-foot, 280-pound center (like Bynum) that would tear him up similar to what Shaq did to Mutombo (and Davis is no Mutombo).

...did you not read what you replied to? Nevermind.

You should, also. I'm not sure if anyone actually said that the flopping and the refs were the main reason why the Heat won, so no idea why you said this:

Brings me back to the "everyone vs. Lakers fans" days during the Lakers/Suns playoff series...but that was because we had too many championships, and God forbid Kobe wins one without Shaq.

Probably doesn't.

It is?

LeBron dropped his shoulder into Lucas, Tyson had to lean into the screen because it's a 6-8, 260-pound steroid abuser. There really isn't much of a difference between the two screens, if you want to know the truth. Lucas just took his like a man.

Iman Shumpert tears ACL in Knicks' loss to Heat
Real Deal replied to Art's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Knew it right when he fell, clutching the knee and screaming. Shades of Bynum. When I saw it happen to Rose, I posted about it on my Facebook...knew before he was helped off the court. Once you've seen it so many times throughout the years, and you've had a similar (yet less severe) injury yourself, it's really not as difficult as people make it seem to point it out on the spot, and when you combine how Shump's knee looked when he took that step + the fact that he was in a significant amount of pain, you knew he was done. I didn't have the Knicks winning the series, but without Shump (who is their best perimeter defender), this one is definitely over, unless they somehow bring back Jeremy Lin, never turn the ball over (funny how those two things don't go together), and score like the old Phoenix Suns used to (which won't happen). EDIT: And maybe ask Josh Harrellson to take out LeBron on a drive to the rim.
