LeBron Not Welcomed Home?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Probably average...mainly based on him not playing much. -
LeBron Not Welcomed Home?
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I feel like spending my savings just to get front row seats to the first Miami/Cleveland game of the season, and driving all the way to Ohio to see it. Hearing the crowd will draw enough excitement, in my opinion. -
Jeff Green's Future With Oklahoma City
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
OKC should just stick him on the block before the deadline. Teams would be interested in a defensive-minded player like Green, and it's better to trade him now before his contract expires. Where to go from there? Well, look for a true PF in the draft, if there's no option available in a trade. The Thunder will be around $9 million under the cap this season, and Green is making $4.46 million...so the Thunder could absorb a bigger contract of, maybe, a disgruntled PF? He wouldn't have to be an all-star, just someone who can score in the post. -
Simple question. Seven years of possibly the best play they have ever had out of a player...do they retire his number?

NBA To Reveal Marquee Games Tuesday on NBA TV 7PM EST
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Opening night, Heat @ Cavs. Christmas Day, Heat @ Lakers. Might as well go big. -
Not that much of a difference, really. I feel lighter on my feet, though. You can tell that much, at least. I'm picky about what shoes I wear out on the court, though...mainly just Nike. The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn was the Adidas Kobe II's...but once you break into the Kobe V's, they are pretty nice.
-
Doesn't really matter, whatever feels more comfortable to you. It really won't affect the shoe's stability THAT much. I'd tie them, though.

Cavs Targeting Monta Ellis?
Real Deal replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Williams has three years left (because he will take his PO's). Ellis is getting paid more, four years left, PO in the fourth. Golden State would take Williams if it meant getting Hickson, or someone they REALLY desire in a three-way deal. Monta is a borderline all-star, but he's also a detriment to Curry's production and progression as a player and point guard. Williams knows his role and plays it. Monta needs to shine somewhere else, and if the Warriors can get back a valuable and cheap player (like Hickson, who was in trade talks for Amare), the Warriors pull the trigger because it's a win-win situation for them. -
Well, there may be a bit of room in the bottom of the heel...but if you look at the shoe itself, it actually curves up so your heel doesn't slip out of it. A lot of shoes do that, of course, but the Kobe's are REALLY curved, and the top part is firm.
-
Very thin socks...can't remember what kind they are, but I bought them from Footlocker. They have a "G" just above the toes, top part of the sock. http://i26.tinypic.com/qyzsr5.jpg And the shoes... http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs052.ash2/35979_413805166652_502396652_5177871_700539_n.jpg

I tie them. I'll take a picture of the socks I wear with my Kobe's, and a pic of the Kobe's (just for fun, haha).
-
It doesn't matter if you post the link, as long as you aren't making a topic about it (without my permission, of course, haha). I could care less if members visit their site, anyway...not going to hurt OTR. http://www.slymf.com/forum

Wear thinner socks, and adjust the laces to make your shoe a bit wider where you need it to be. The bottom of my feet never hurt from them...just wore them for three hours of ball tonight, felt pretty good.

Cavs Targeting Monta Ellis?
Real Deal replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Mo Williams would more than likely be included in the trade, and Golden State would probably experiment with him playing the two, starting Curry at the point. -
Yeah, I know you probably don't want to be around in June for that three-peat. But sorry to hear what happened over there. I always thought AboveLegit owned it, but I guess I was wrong. Can't sell something like that if it's built from the ground up by its members. I can go install forums anywhere, but it's a waste without the members.
-
No idea. I've been offered probably 10 different times, maybe 2-3 times on the forums (someone just registers and asks if we are selling, some of you will remember that). I've been offered up to $4,500 by some guy who told me he wanted to merge it with his blog site, and offer blogging to all members...said he would put the money in my Paypal first. Don't remember all of the other offers. S2 wanted to pay money per post, when we were at 100,000 or so. Can't remember how much they were saying, but it really didn't matter.
-
Haha, well, OTR will never merge with anyone else, and I'll never sell. No point in it. We've been doing it since 2005, so it's basically better than a hobby, in my opinion. Would've been nice if we weren't hacked back in 09, but it's all good. :\ Won't ever happen again.
-
I was actually pretty nervous about it...didn't really do much running when I first bought them, just spot-up shooting because I thought my ankles would roll and/or snap in them. Now I'm comfortable with them on, attacking the rim and what not. Mean shoes, for sure...probably the only lows I'll ever wear playing ball.
-
Welcome to the best. Bring all of the basketball heads you know to OTR. We aren't going anywhere.
-
The support is actually in the shoe, not wrapping the ankle...so that's how they are created. That's why Bryant and Nike decided to go with the lows, despite the popular belief that traditional highs are best for the ankle. I have his playoff versions, and they are damn nice. I also have an ankle problem, rolling my ankles quite a bit, but I haven't had a single accident with these shoes.

Search for IPB and you'll see Invision's app. It's really nice...can post and everything.

Ron Artest song Champions to be featured in NBA 2K11
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Video Gaming Forum
LOL I noticed that. Can't put Jordan on the cover and all over the game without Sirius playing somewhere. -
Ron Artest song Champions to be featured in NBA 2K11
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Video Gaming Forum
Would it have made the game's list of songs if Ron wasn't a player? Hmm... -
Looks like there is a chance Mayo moves to PG
Real Deal replied to La Bomba's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
I wonder if this is still being considered. If so, it means Vasquez will get little to no playing time (unless the Grizz explore trades with Conley at the helm, of course). If not, it may mean Xavier Henry will be limited, because Tony Allen wasn't brought to Memphis just so he can sit the bench for 45 minutes. Interesting situation, really.
