The screen is black because if your memory is shot, it won't load anything up to begin with...so you see nothing. I have no idea what it would cost in your area. Memory runs anywhere between $30-60 if you buy it online (unless you're needing 2-4GB or more of memory). Flip your laptop over and give me all the numbers on it (serial number, product number, mainly). Maybe we can avoid a big bill by having you fix it yourself. In fact, flip it over and look for panels that you can unscrew. See if you can find the memory stick(s) in the laptop by unscrewing one of those panels (usually in the middle). Don't remove the entire bottom...you shouldn't have to. If you need to know what a memory stick looks like, just Google it (laptop sticks are usually taller, but not as long, more of a square). When you find them...if there are two, remove one. Flip it back over and turn the laptop on and see what happens. If it does the same thing, remove the second one and put that first stick back in it's place, and try again.

Depends on the team, definitely. But if we're wanting to find out who the better overall player is, I'd take Brown, as he's got a more complete game (mainly pointing at his defense here).

Should More Teams Use Advanced Statistics?
Real Deal replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
Different rosters ask for different player scenarios. Kevin Martin looked like one of the better players in the NBA when he was healthy and holding it down in Sacramento, but he and Tyreke Evans can't co-exist because Martin isn't a team player. I'm sure advanced statistics will say otherwise. And for the record, Houston isn't a contender, and they really haven't been since Olajuwon and the Rockets split ways. Same with Toronto. -
2010 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest

I had a feeling Wallace would bow out. He's been out of the Bobcats lineup a few times due to that injury. -
Kevin Durant is a beast!
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
25 consecutive games with 25 or more points. The Thunder are 17-8 during that streak, and Durant is averaging 32 PPG, 8 RPG, 52% FG. If he keeps that up, he better get the MVP award. Yes, even over Kobe and James. -
Kevin Martin, because he's the most selfish and would hurt Dallas in the long run.

Lamar resides on the moon 95% of the time, no matter where he's at physically...so I'm not surprised.

2010 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
He's pulled off some sick in-game dunks, more explosive than creative...but once he went for the Statue of Liberty dunk, you could tell he has the flash to go with it...and that's what made guys like Vince and Dominique so great: explosiveness + creativity. I've never been high on Nate. He's a glorified Spud Webb. The only dunk I can see Nate doing is jumping over players...and if Dwight didn't let him do that last year, Howard would've had the victory. Shannon will win among those already entered. If LeBron gets in, he'll more than likely take it just based on the fact that he's LeBron, and he can throw it down harder than everyone else. -
The 2010-2011 Miami Heat will be led by Daequan Cook...I can see it now.

Rockets, Knicks, Wizards Discussing Three-Way Deal
Real Deal replied to MainEv3nt's topic in General NBA Discussion
Damn man, KEEP THAT STUFF OUT OF THE WEST. I would rather not see Dallas or Houston get better. Butler and Haywood on either of those teams would make them a tough play in the West. Stupid Wizards. -
Three beeps is most likely a memory problem. You won't have to spend too much if you take it to a local shop (assuming you don't have a warranty).

Time to deal Jamison, Butler, Haywood?
Real Deal replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Jamison, Butler, Arenas and Stevenson for picks and expiring contracts, simple as that. If you're gonna go out like this, go big. -
Lateral move?

I hope not. That would probably be even worse. Eric Gordon...excellent defender, good offensive player, not an amazing dunker. -
2010 Sprite Slam Dunk Contest
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
Good way to "let" LeBron join in, last second, stunning the fans and winning them over with two-handed traditional dunks I can pull off on a seven-foot rim. -
Two different teams, bro. I don't see Crawford on the roster this season, among a few others playing more/less. If you want to go that route, we can see what Golden State's record was... with Monta Ellis last season (12-13, .480)... and with Stephen Jackson last season (21-38, .356).

One thing you wanna do before you die.

Save the Earth. I have my shot in 2012. -
Come on now, you can't put it that way. Charlotte won that trade, easily. Your record will be better when you add a borderline all-star, and it will be worse when you get rid of one. Radmanovic is playing terrible basketball (as usual) and Raja Bell has played 1-2 games in a Warriors jersey. That would be like me saying Pau Gasol is far better than Bryant after the Lakers trade Gasol to the Celtics for Brian Scalabrine, since the Lakers get worse and Boston gets better.
-
WHY do the Bucks think it's a good idea to trade Ridnour? He's playing very good basketball for them off the bench. I would actually start him, throw Jennings in as a two-guard, and deal Warrick and Alexander's contracts for a capable starter at the four. Fact is...Delfino, Bell, Ilyasova...none of them should be starting. They wouldn't start on any other team in the league. Deal the contracts to teams like Chicago, who are looking to get rid of guys like Tyrus Thomas, and bring in capable starters. Then hold a gun to Michael Redd and demand that he declines his player option, or pray that a fool actually takes him in a trade at the end of the season.
-
Honestly...is it just me, or does Omri Casspi seem like the complete opposite of a player participating in an interesting game of HORSE? Maybe just a desperate throw-in? I don't get it.

Welcome to the best.
-
True, but they are going to have to trade players to bring him in...and it will more than likely be Iguodala and Dalembert/Brand.
-
Right, but S-Jax has spent most of his career relying on his teammates more than most other borderline all-star players. His defense is superior to Monta's, but his offense isn't, at all...and it's really not even close. Jackson has shot poorly from the field his entire career, especially when you include the fact that he has had a million wide-open shots from playing with the Spurs, O'Neal and Artest, and other solid teammates. He's also turning the ball over quite a bit for a guy who doesn't handle it much. Ellis isn't a point, but he handles the ball like one. Ellis is too good of an offensive player. Jackson plays defense, but he struggles offensively, and if I were picking a franchise player between the two (dropping their age), I would take Ellis every day of the week.

HAHAHA...I wasn't the only one that noticed this! Jess and I were laughing. Can you imagine the director talking to Megan before taping the commercial? "Okay Megan, jump in the tub. You look incredible. We need to make it look like you're naked, for it to be more appealing...and we'll have to replace your thumb with a fake one, but I need eye contact, sex appeal, and interest in the product."
-
Hmm... The first three are easy. 1) Kobe Bryant 2) Dwyane Wade 3) Brandon Roy 4) Joe Johnson 5) Monta Ellis As good as the Hawks are playing, Brandon Roy is still the better overall player. I can't stick Johnson above him. And Ellis turns the ball over a little too much, and he doesn't play defense. I'd add Stephen Jackson, but he isn't even the best player on his team, and he relies too much on his teammates to get his offense going. He's probably sitting at six or seven, though.
