Stephen Curry Is The Second Best Rookie
Real Deal replied to Legacy's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
He'd be third if Griffin was playing. But yeah, he's trailing Evans...and I'd stick Flynn behind Curry at the third spot, maybe. -
Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
By the way, the Houston Chronicle is saying that the Rockets are in pursuit of Andre Iguodala and Caron Butler, as of today. -
Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Niss, I thought Hinrich was terrible? LOL. And you say you don't THINK they can get Gay or Iggy for McGrady, but you don't know that. I didn't think we could get Gasol for his brother and Crittenton, either, but we did. Boozer is definitely done in Utah...95% sure of that, and he sounds like he is as well. There's someone who's much better than Thomas, if they are indeed interested in a power forward. The Sixers can't win with Iggy, Brand, Young and Dalembert, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they decide to throw Iguodala out to the other GM's. Not only that, but the Knicks were in rumors for McGrady as well, and why wouldn't Houston want someone like David Lee, who probably won't be back in New York after this season? Nate Robinson would be an excellent backup for Brooks. The Nets want to unload Harris and Lopez, according to rumors. Why would Houston not jump on that deal, especially with Yao's future in question? There are numerous teams who will be interested in McGrady as the deadline nears, especially with talk about a lockout. That, and the 2010 free agent class...there's no reason why teams wouldn't want to wipe out $23 million. -

I'm sure it is a better deal for them, but Houston will have no interest in that. There's no room for Hinrich on that roster, not with Brooks starting and the Rockets already paying Ariza the money they did, and once Yao gets back, Hayes will share time with Landry and Scola at the four, so again, just another reason not to have Tyrus. Houston would be stupid to take that deal over the others they can potentially have, or even just letting McGrady expire themselves. -
If I add the dark skin (and there's a chance I will), it won't be the default...and the biggest problem is that you guys will be switching from dark to light (and back to dark) when you visit the team forums, which may turn people off from them. Plus, it won't be done within the next month, for sure. There's a lot of things I need to get done here, especially those damn team banners. That's the #1 priority right now, and I'll be finishing those up tonight up until the weekend (hopefully, they'll be done by then). Maybe if the dark skin becomes super-popular, we'll move it to default...but that means team forums will have to be re-done, so I don't know guys.

Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Well, maybe...but with the current rumors of a lockout, some teams would probably rather save the money, especially someone like the Grizzlies, who I figured were in danger of moving soon. In the end, you have to pay young players and picks. -
I REALLY wish I had that topic now, the one where I told everyone I was gone, closing the board, etc. There were a few of you that were laying into me, also...can't remember now, but I do know that the ones that were actually surprised me, haha. By the way, there was no relationship between that hacker and the one that actually got in and deleted everything. At least I don't think so...never did connect the two. And the message left behind that was said to be from "moot" over at 4chan, that's impossible, because he would never do that. I can't say whether or not someone else from there was involved, though, but it definitely wasn't moot.

I haven't really paid much attention to Washington's commentators, but in that Wiz/Lakers game, they weren't really that bad, at all.
-
That won't happen, at least not for the next 5-10 years. EDIT: Sky beat me to it, haha.

LOL, with the final statement you made, you can stick this entire post into a movie clip, as a voice-over, and it would work just fine. People don't really understand that, once players get paid, pulling money from them is a big deal. There are plenty of them who are used to splurging, buying houses and vehicles, sticking basketball courts, swimming pools and private gyms on their land, donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities, etc. Giving an all-star like Amare Stoudemire a huge, HUGE paycut would cause one hell of a mess I'm glad I don't have to be a part of.

I'm sure there will be a lockout, but saying that salaries will decrease as much as 65-70% is insane. That won't happen, ever.

Yeah, I understand the money situation. I'm just back to depression mode, because I was PRAYING that we didn't give Sasha that contract...yet it happened anyways. -
DeMar DeRozan Not Named To Rookie Team?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Nobody will pay attention to the minutes played by those guys, and that's where DeRozan falls short. His role is less on a team with more, and Jerebko looks to be better on paper. You throw in the "per 36" factor, and yes, you're right. Sometimes, people look at it and say there are reasons as to why that guy isn't playing more minutes. That might have been the case here. -
Spurs Interested In Stoudemire And Bosh?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in San Antonio Spurs Team Forum
Bosh. He tries to play defense and he's younger, and I'm not sure how Amare will fare without Nash these days. If the Spurs had both trades locked down, and they had to pick one, it's Bosh every day of the week. -
Probably Jessica. She doesn't stress me out as much as OTR.

Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Figures...but I'm fine with that. Dumping Sasha is even better for us. Honestly, to me, this is a guaranteed ring. I know people won't like hearing that, but our lack of defense at the point (and, now, our offensive production as well -- aside from Farmar's inconsistency) is what we need to patch up the most. Fisher can go to the bench. I respect him and wish his daughter well, and thank him for the clutch shots...but he's a bottomless pit when it comes to allowing points, and I'm tired of seeing him shoot 25-30% from the floor. -
Three years.

Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Real Deal replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Chicago wants to be under the cap as much as possible for this year's free agency period, so I doubt they'd take on Vujacic's final two years. Jordan Farmar, Adam Morrison and Josh Powell gives them three expirings, one they could consider re-signing for cheap (Farmar). It makes sense because the Bulls just picked up Devin Brown, and he can back up Salmons. Farmar would back up Rose. Hinrich's contract would be dealt to the Lakers. We get better by taking care of our huge defensive hole at the point, and Chicago has a bigger chance to spend money this season, and a couple beyond that, in hopes to get Wade or a big (Bosh or Amare), then surround them with talented players through free agency. Hinrich is the one player I want in Los Angeles that's not named LeBron, Wade or Dwight. He's one of the best defensive guards in the NBA, he can shoot the rock very well when open (and if you saw Ariza last year, you know Kirk will be open all the time), and he can pass the ball and is unselfish. I'd rather have this trade than the Bosh/Bynum deal. Bring Kirk to LA. -
Stoudemire could be headed to San Antonio
Real Deal replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
Amare isn't going to fit in with the Spurs. He needs a point guard like Nash or Paul, simple as that. His forte is rolling to the rim off screens and throwing it down over the mismatch, and that's why everyone was high on him for so long in Phoenix. He may fit in with Miami nicely, though...but he should probably look at what happened with Shawn Marion, who fit the Nash/Suns system perfectly. -
Just like an underrated player. It's a poster who doesn't get enough credit for his knowledge, his contributions, and very few may reply to him because of it.

I swear on my life, I lost both of those red wristbands...same exact ones. Not that I'm saying she took them before she left my bedroom or anything, but I swear I had two of them.

Remember the days Aaron used to post in red? Hey Justin...ooouuuuuuu! The Comeback? How about Christine getting almost every single guy here to slobber all over her pictures? I'll admit, I was one.

Kevin Martin shot 1-9 tonight against the Warriors, despite a Sacramento victory.
