  1. I have to agree with Yama and Sean here. You just can't say, "Hell, I'll play defense this season." Nash has been a poor defender his entire career, and Amare is also a bad defensive player. If he wants to be less lazy, I can probably see him being average (because he did do well, inconsistently, against the likes of Duncan and Dirk), but average defense with a pathetic defensive point, pathetic defense at the two and no defense from Channing Frye...how does that translate into a good defensive team? The only guy dedicated to defense, and having the ability to play it, is Grant Hill. There are too many matadors on the Suns' roster, and in a league that is dominated by guards, Phoenix will get wasted without backcourt defense. You saw what the Spurs (preferably Parker) did to their frontcourt a couple of seasons back. Despite Shaq's inability to stop him and Duncan from scoring, Parker was able to get to the bucket like he was riding a dirt bike among scooters, and that's ultimately how the Suns were crushed in that series.
  2. I didn't like the Yankees in 2003. What an idiotic post based on the fact that I just don't want your Phillies to win the series. Alex went to New York in 2004. Big fail on your part...again.
  3. Ugly day for little Manning, and Jacobs needs to get back on track. He didn't play too bad, might have played his best game of the season actually...but before tonight, I just expected more. Gotta get over those injuries. He scored his second touchdown of the season tonight, though.
  4. Wow, so FINALLY, Smith gets to come in and show how much better he is at QB. A little too late, though. They should've started him and had him chewing up Houston's pass defense from the first quarter on, and the Niners would've won this game by a couple of TD's. Davis looks like he's ready for the Pro Bowl, and it was no surprise for me to see Crabtree playing well. The holdout never made him a bad player. Houston was impressive, though. They just need to cover better.
  5. Driver is still going strong. Dude is amazing. Cleveland is pathetic, by the way. They look like they don't want to win another game this season. Their fans are even bored with them.
  6. Did anyone on this Earth pick the Bucs to win this one? Especially after seeing them at 0-6 and watching the Pats rack up 59 in their last game, in a shutout?
  7. Ryan looked intimidated out there. That last pick he threw was just predictable, also. "Overrated" Romo did pretty good out there, but few will admit that. I can't stand Dallas, but I gotta give props to their line, Romo and Austin, and they had other players drop in some big plays (Barber, for instance) that eventually led to a score or a stop.
  8. If the Steelers owned the Vikings, I'd hate to hear what happened to the last two teams that have played the Pats. Bad, bad turnovers near the end. Didn't like the tripping call either, but I'm not sure if that really had any effect on the outcome in the end, since Percy decided to play Superman and return the kickoff for a TD. Favre and Rice are connecting well already. That's pretty dangerous, to say the least, especially when Harvin is Favre's other threat. The Vikings lose a game to the defending SuperBowl champs, who just brought back Troy. If they had lost to a bottom-feeding, one or two win team, I'd be shocked.
  9. 1) Fitzgerald 2-3) Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson 4) Reggie Wayne 5) Randy Moss or Chad Johnson Coin flips at two of those spots, for me. And I know Moss isn't having the record-breaking year he had two years ago, but he's still a top five receiver, in my book. Miles Austin is doing really good, though...and Greg Jennings is going to be huge for Green Bay down the road. Lots of talented receivers in the league.
  10. This will be more of a biased guess than anything else, but I'm taking New York in six. It's really more because A-Rod has been my second favorite player for years now, ever since the Mariners took him, and I've honestly stopped watching baseball as a fan after Griffey went down due to that devastating injury. It's funny. I used to know everything about baseball, in the 90's. Now I know everything about basketball, quite a bit about football, and just a little about baseball. This postseason may have been the first I've actually watched, all the way through, since 2003. Sabathia has been fire, though, and I trust in Mariano to close out games. I don't believe he has given up a run yet in the postseason.
  11. How do you screw up two consecutive bunts? :o
  12. Then I suggest you take your face out of a topic you weren't going to discuss. You say the joke wasn't funny...which doesn't explain why you posted your "lmao" to start it off. So yeah...get out of the topic, before I cut off your access to the baseball and football forums. And don't ever tell me what a personal attack is. I know you know EXACTLY what it is, since you're so busy dishing them out to Cowboys fans...but I don't need to hear it from you.
  13. Don't you have a Redskins/Eagles topic to post in? Don't be all pissed because the worst team in the NFL beat your team's ass. Now that is funny. Maybe you should be a little more like Phightins when you post. It's no wonder Eagles fans are hated.
  14. I don't know, because it was a joke? LMAO!
  15. Wow, talk about a beating. I actually thought the Bears would be a decent team this season, but they are letting Cincinnati look like the Patriots right now.
  16. Make your predictions. Please read the entire topic before doing so. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/6442-pick-and-roll-week-1

  18. I'm sorry, but if anyone else watched the match between Shogun and Machida, and you think that Lyoto should've won...I gotta say you're wrong. That was terrible. I can honestly say that Rua won at least four of those rounds, and by the end of the fourth, Machida couldn't even take a step without limping. Pretty bad judging, or White just wants a Machida/Silva matchup.
  19. SHALIQ, WHERE YOU AT? But yeah, if Maggette is going to start, they better start him at the three. There's no point in trying to play him as a power forward, when he's your typical slasher, and one that gets to the foul line better than most anyone else in the NBA. Stupid idea.
  20. Walton almost threw down with Balkman, also. They had to be broken up.
  21. Man, Kobe played like ten minutes the entire game. That game was boring after the first quarter. No Pau at all, no Bynum at all, Kobe for ten, Ron barely played. I got tired of watching Farmar and Morrison out there.
  22. I'm assuming you've already made the switch...
