  2. Wafer sucked, dude. His defense was complete trash. He produced stats on offense for 15 games? Good for him. Smush averaged 11-12 PPG or so. He still sucked. When McGrady went down, Ron WAS trying to run the offense. He became the primary option because of that. That's his fault, and I realize it. That's why you called him a chucker. Every coach Ron has had acts as if they are scared to death of him. When the playoffs come around, they give him the green light to shoot the ball. Jermaine O'Neal and the 61-win Pacers (or 62, can't remember) were coached by Rick Carlisle, and you can ask any Pacers fan how intimidated Rick was of Artest, and they will confirm what I said above. If you think Phil Jackson will do that, you're wrong. Like Odom, Bynum, Farmar, Vujacic and others, Artest will see less time on the court if he starts screwing up. We have the players to make up for that, and Artest won't rebel, especially after seeing Rodman, Shaq, Kobe and even a young Pippen straighten up when Phil walks into the room.
  3. Magic would've smoked the Nuggets. Denver doesn't have the size and defense up front to stop Dwight, kinda shocked to see Gasol do it, although I figured Pau COULD play good defense. It did take a Gasol/Odom combo to get it done, though. Thing is, Orlando would've had home court, and it was the Lakers' perimeter defense that also kept the Magic from netting 300 threes against us, especially late in the game, while Billups is more of a post-up defender, and so is Melo (when he plays defense). Denver won't win a title until they get rid of George Karl and bring in a consistent first option at the power forward spot. Go after Larry Brown, trade for someone like Bosh or Amare, then make your run. Won't happen, though. This season, they'll run into the Spurs or Mavs, and it won't be pretty, assuming both teams stay healthy.
  4. I don't care what Lakers fans were praising Smush. I didn't like him, ever. Von Wafer was supposed to be a poor man's Ray Allen, also, and I distinctly remember you bragging about his play. I never did, always knew he sucked, and he didn't do jack for Houston. You're judging a player based on his play as a primary option. You're wrong to do so. People were hating on Gasol for not getting out of the first round in Memphis, also, and nobody thought he'd be considered a top three power forward in the league, either, but a lot of analysts are picking up their jaws. When you play alongside the best player in the game and the best coach in NBA history, you're going to play better than you would as a primary option when, actually, Ron was never that big of a scoring threat to be that first option, as seen in Sacramento and Houston. And nobody has to worry about Roy. Kobe will take him. Ron will cover post-ups, the more physical players, such as Melo and Pierce. But okay, you'll see.
  5. LMAO. So you decline to talk about Rodman's offensive game, and incline to avoid Ron Artest's defense? You aren't making any sense and remind me of another Rockets fan on OTR, who spends his time bashing McGrady. You were on Artest's nuts just one year ago. Fact is, Ron Artest won't even be a second option in our offense. He'll thrive as a spot-up shooter, just as Ariza did. You'll find out the hard way, I guess.
  6. Wow, this is so reminiscent of Dennis Rodman's sideshow act when he went to Chicago in 1995. We are definitely screwed.
  7. Aren't these their green retro's designs...only with blue?
  8. So, changing the subject here, why did you change your display name?
  9. Max of 10 questions each. Keep it appropriate, both questions and answers, please. Topic closes in five days. 1) Who's your most hated NBA player? 2) Most hated NFL player? 3) Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, or New England Patriots? 4) Why not EastCoastFortyNiner? 5) Favorite OTR member? 6) One OTR member you could not watch a football game with? 7) What sports do you consider yourself good at? 8) Favorite video game of all-time? 9) What type of vehicle do you drive? 10) Amare is leaving Phoenix, and he's staying in the Western Conference. What team would you want him to play for?
  10. Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan? I guess I don't get where you're headed with that.
  11. Yes, for 3 1/2 quarters...but I take Brady for the final possession.
  12. We need to duplicate Justin, so we can have some decent, respectable Eagles fans on this board. No wonder why people hate that [expletive] team. If you're going to post pictures of members, make sure it's not done as an attempt to attack them. If anything, make it about someone else. It doesn't help seeing the name of the picture in the URL. I shouldn't have to hold everyone's hand through a discussion board. It's ridiculous. Just watch your game and stop trying to trade punches with your rival team's fanbase, because it's making you look dumb, and it's also making your team more hated on this site. That goes for all fans.
  13. He averaged six. Favre threw for two touchdowns. Vikings won. I guess I was right.
  14. Wow, JaMarcus Russell is an idiot. Other than the couple of wide-open passes he threw, he was incredibly terrible on every pass he tried to make. Incredibly terrible.
  15. Wooo, Brees was toying with them today. Good stuff.
  16. I wouldn't be shocked to see Kobe get two in the next four years, actually...but I don't think he'll be surpassing Jordan. And I would say LeBron could reach six, but with guys like Wade, Rose, and Durant all potential MVP candidates in 3-5 years, it wouldn't take much to propel those guys into the Finals, either.
  17. It was an example of you guys not being able to use your logic with other teams/situations, which means your logic is flawed. Getting to the WCF is all that matters? Not really. You still lose. The Spurs were playing with a hobbling Ginobili in 2008, as he hurt the team more than he helped them, and then fell 4-1 against us. In 2009, they were demolished in the first round by the Mavs, without Ginobili playing at all. But you guys won't consider who the Nuggets had to play in 2008, either, did you? You didn't consider the fac that they ran into the Lakers in the first round. You don't consider anything BUT those four wins and a WCF berth. Good for them. They still lost, and I'm inclined to believe that Iverson would've produced more against the Lakers than Billups did, because he actually did (in 2008) and Billups choked (in 2009). But whatever.
  18. AP should be able to streak past their line and pick up at least 6-7 yards every carry. I don't see how the Lions plan on stopping Minny's run game, and you already know Favre will look to cut up the Detroit secondary early, just to give them that threat of the pass. After that, Peterson will dig his way into the end zone for a couple, and the Vikings won't look back.
  19. When are you getting it done? Take some pictures when it's finished, and tell us how much it costs (I'm curious).
  20. Unless someone does anything else here, or wherever, I would take that picture to him and tell him exactly what you said in that last post. Tattoo artists are really good at producing on the fly, some even without a picture on hand. Let him know if you want the name to be the entire cord, or you want it to be PART OF the cord (big difference in the way he'll design it). Obviously, the tat will be less life-like, as it will be a piece of art, rather than a picture. He'll know what you mean by that.
