  1. Right now, he's a mistake-prone big with a limited feel for the game, good fluidity, and a pretty good jumper. He can fill out as a good pick-and-pop guy and shot blocker off the bench for a mediocre team, but he's not an impact player yet.

If Houston fancies themselves contenders next year, with Yao, Anderson, Scola, and Hayes, Hill probably won't crack the rotation. He has some promise though---but this is the NBA, everyone has promise. If not, you wouldn't be in the league.

    Huh?

For one, Hill is already better David Andersen. As a rookie big man he's displayed bad hands but he's getting more for a feel of the game so I'm not to worried about that. Jordan's basketball IQ is being extreamly underrated, calling him basketball dumb is way to ext ream.

He fights for the ball, he's a good help defender as the Rockets best shot blocker. Once the Rockets give him the ball more he will become more effective. He runs the floor very well, he's quick for a big man. You look at his potential and you see a special player. He's knocking down mid range jumpers when defenders play off of him, when they play him up close he shown where he can quickly get by them and go to the rack. He's also a very good rebounder for the minutes he's getting, loving the putback dunks and second chances hes creating.

btw Jordan is already in the rotation and could see more minutes then Chuck next season, you can see him improving and the Rockets do a good job of developing big men.

    Quick Evaluation:

    Strengths:

    Jumper

    Post Moves

    Running the floor

    Rebounding

    Energy

    Speed

    Help Defense

    Weakness:

Needs to take it up stronger with contact

1 on 1 defense vs guys with good post moves

    Hands

    Passing out of post

    Unselfishness (understandable though)

    Feel for the game

  2. Still goes back to what I said. IF Donatas is still somehow available, you absolutely have to take him. The guy not only fits well on the Rockets, but his upside is too great to ignore. I honestly believe he will likely end up becoming at least the third best player out of this draft when it's all said and done. He'll probably be a top 5 pick, anyway.

How exactly does he fit with the Rockets so well? He doesn't rebound well nor does he play defense. All the Rockets bigs play defense.

  3. lol, Bargnani didnt take a long time to develop, Motiejunas is a beast though, has so much offensive game that its not normal, and that alone will get him in the league, he has way more moves in his arsenal than Bargnani, he might not play defense or rebound well but the Rockets need a big man regardless of skillset.

lol, I just don't want a soft European that doesn't play defense or rebound well that will take forever to develop. Unless his name is Yao Ming.. ;)

As for the guard situation I see Morey being very active this offseason so I wouldn't be surprise if we end up trading a wing and drafting the best player available.

  4. I'd rather have Motiejunas than Hassan Whiteside, Motiejunas is at least proven at the professional level, in my opinion Whiteside could likely be a bust.

Good point about Whiteside, freshmen at a small school is a huge risk. I've never really been all that crazy about Motiejunas. He's going to take a long time to develop like Bargania if he can ever get to that level. He's also soft and doesn't rebound very well. Not to mention he doesn't play defense. He won't be an effective 5 and at the 4 I like Jordan Hill more.

  5. James will play Small Forward as a player in the NBA. Also your post makes no sense, because you say no way the Rockets would take a PF then you say how you would want a PF.

I don't see the Rockets going SF ether because of Ariza/Battier and if they choose to play Budinger at the three.

Cousions could easily adapt to being a center in the NBA.

  6. Rajon Rondo

Aaron Brooks if I was bias but his defense needs a lot of work

    Kobe Bryant

Jermain Taylor if I was bias but his defense needs a lot of work

    Shane Battier

    Shane Battier..oh wait

    Kevin Garnett

Luis Scola if I was bias but his defense needs a lot of work

    Kendrick Perkins

Chuck Hayes is actually a pretty legit candidate.

  7. Why can't I get this off iTunes? :(

Before you spend that $9.99. Please, stop and consider giving that money to a poor Rockets fan that could use that money on research to find how who/why the hell someone gave Brian Cook that awful contract.

  8. It's a good thing that the Rockets got rid of crazy Ron Artest for the calm, stable Trevor Ariza, eh?

Seriously though, that was complete bush league. No matter how poorly you are playing you don't do that [expletive] to another player.

This is Trevor Ariza first incident since last season. I still consider him a calm player.
