  1. Honestly LBJ is way out ahead of everyone homerism aside. He's having a ridiculous year statistically and his team doesn't the have the best record because Chicago's played one more game than us.

    CP3 would be my runner-up.

Agreed, Lebrons going off and having an unbelievable year. I'm aware of how bad the Lakers bench is and how Bynum and Gasol are somewhat underperforming, but I'm sure if Lebron was in Kobe's shoes playing for that team in that situation, the Lakers would have a better record and Bynum, Gasol and the rest of the Lakers players would be having better statistical seasons.

  2. Should The Magic Trade Dwight?

As we all know, Dwight Howard is the most dominate big men in the league, and perhaps the only one who has a similar Lebron James effect

Howard has been in the league for over 7 years now and still, The Orlando Magic roster apart from him is not good at all. I understand Dwight’s decision to want to leave Orlando for a team that has other solid assets that can contribute to a title contending team. Sure, Orlando has a few guys who can help Howard out (Anderson, Nelson, and Richardson) but after 7 years of being the best big man in the league and that’s the best supporting crew your team can get you, I to would not be happy.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the owner of the Magic recently come out and say they don’t want to trade Dwight. Obviously Dwight won’t be traded until after the All-Star game, if he even does get traded. The Magic’s hopes are that everything goes great in the 2nd have of the year, the Magic contend and maybe even win a title and hopefully, this will convince Dwight to stay in Orlando. Now of course, with the league having such good competition, this utopia that The Magic has doesn’t have too good of chances to come true, which is why this question The Magic has, is so difficult.

What if they do trade him? Let’s say after the all-star break nearing the trade deadline, The Magic trade Dwight to the Lakers, or The Nets. Because Dwight is such a great player and is considered the best Center in the league, The Magic would get some players/picks for him. What this means, because Dwight was on the team for a majority of the season, he was able to get them into a contending position. Then The Magic is able to still compete for their title, and their newly acquired piece(s) get to find their role with their new squad.

If I was The Magic GM, that is what I would do. But, doing that is a lot easier said than done. Over the past 7 or so years, Dwight has turned The Magic franchise from a basement dweller, to a top contender, almost alone. And I’m sure The Magic management is more than aware of this, and if they even have the slightest of shots to keep Dwight on their team, I could understand why they would take that shot. And afterall if the Magic can somehow convince Dwight to stay in Orlando, than Otis Smith and the rest of management would look like a genius.

Currently, The Magic has a 16-10 record thanks in large part to the 20 pts. 15 reb. season of Dwight Howard. Now that record doesn’t look too bad, things haven’t gone too smoothly in Orlando. They blew around a 40 point lead to The Celtics which kicked off a brutal losing streak. During this losing streak, Dwight publically called out his teammates, which is never a good thing. My point is, if The Magic can keep winning games and get into a playoff position, than even if they trade Dwight or not, they’re still going to have a shot at the title. Who knows, maybe if they trade Dwight, they get some depth, they start learning how each other play, and then boom, you’ve got The Denver Nuggets!

In the end, regardless of what The Magic end up doing, I understand whatever way they go. They’ve been put in a very unique tricky spot here and have one of the toughest decisions a team will have to make. Do you let Dwight play it out, try and get him to regain his love for Orlando? Or trade him and at least get something for the star big man? Whatever choice the Magic make you can bet either way, fan of The Magic or not, it will be very, highly criticized.

  3. I was goona try and get a fantasy baseball league going, but I thought maybe finding some guys on here would be funner and easier to do. So if anyone would want to take part let me know (It will be on ESPN). We can discuss settings later, but I was thinking 10-12 guys, maybe 16, with H2H scoring, but we can work that out. So, if you`re intersted, let me know!

  4. He is a 4. He has some perimeter skills, but he projects much more as a 4 than a 3. You could probably get away with him at the 3 if you run a lot of zone, but I'd be willing to bet he is a face up 4 when he makes it to the NBA. He is also a pretty poor rebounder at the college level and considering his size, length and athleticism advantage over most of his competition, it doesn't bode well for his future rebounding in the NBA.

I like his talent and athleticism, but there are some major red flags around him which makes me hesitant. I wouldn't be furious if he was picked, but I'd rather have somebody like Barnes or MKG before him, possibly Lamb as well. Drummond has the same question marks and concerns, but I'd take a chance on him before PJ3 as well.

I agree, he isn't perfect, but all Im saying is, if Raps dont get a top 5 pick and say end with an 8th or 9th overall pick or something along those lines, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Raps uni

  5. I`m perfectly fine with what Lebron did. I`m perfetcly fine with any free agent leaving the team that drafted him or that they played with that previous season. What I`m not fine with, is players demanding for trades to get out of town.

If these guys didn`t want to stay with their team, why sign a contract? In my eyes it`s not Lebron`s fault for Big time players leaving there small market teams, it`s the big time players fault. If Chris Paul, or Dwight Howard didn`t want to play for there teams this season, why did they sign a contract that would have them playing for there designated teams this season.

I`m a Raptors fan, and yes, Bosh leaving hurt, and I still haven`t completely recovered. But Bosh left everything on the court that year, and almost single handidly got us to the playoffs that year (half a point out I believe). Yeah we didn`t get anything for him, but atleast he played 100% his whole time in Toronto, which I respect, unlike all the players who think they`re big shots. Well, if there such big shots, why don`t they stick it out and win with the team they`re on, instead of (in my opinion) cowarding out and surrounding themselves, with other big time players.

  6. Year You Became a Fan: 2004

Why You Became a Fan: First year I started playing basketball, and I'm about an hour out of T.O

Favorite Raptors Player, All-Time: Hmm, Probably Vince. Wasn't even a fan when he played, but I never really liked Bosh, and right when I started to, he left. Although Vince did the same, I'm just praying Derozan wont.

Favorite Raptors Coach, All-Time: Sam Mitchell. Loved him, and thought he was a great coach.

Favorite Raptors Moment: The inbound play, where Sonny Weems (I think) stole the inbound play with about 2 seconds left gave it to Bosh and he missed the layup, which would've sent the Raps to the playoffs, I'm mad he missed, but one of the most exciting moments I can remember watching the Raps

Amount of Raptors Games Attended: 2, But have tickets to 3 games this year :)
