Sorry, but your team is 100% impractical. Total salary would exceed 100 even. Let's keep a cap which is practical. 80 million, 85 at the most. My team is just 77 million.

Someone needs to get a mock going I'm itching to put together a team...
Mine is awesome, mind you. Plus, built fo years to come. LBJ is 27, D12 is 26. Everybody else is 25 and under.

Their both good options, so no worries on your personal preference as this is all imaginary. One thing that has not been mentioned in this thread is who are the players supporting these players; that is a big factor as it seems your imagined team is far different than kaustubh's.
Here's the team I'm thinking.
PG - Lowry, Rubio
PG/SG - Beaubois
SG - Harden, Matthews
SG/SF - Brewer
SF - LeBron, Batum
SF/PF - Moute
PF - Love, Ibaka
PF/C - Jason Thompson
C - Howard, Greg Monroe.
-
Also, Gordon's injury history makes him far more dodgy.

Personally, I'd take Harden in both. His fundamentals are great, better size, and he reminds me of Ginobli in the way he plays.

Overall , not just one on one.

Who's the best defensive PG in the NBA today?
-
Take the situation to be ideal. He'll get a couple of experienced assistant coaches like Turner and Budenholzer. Do you think he would make a good coach for a championship contender like the Heat or some other star teams?
-
Even with reference to the four guys I gave, the fact that Lowry won't compromise on D, hence enhancing the team's D, combined with the fact that him, Harden, LBJ and Love are possibly enough shooting firepower makes him a better fit.
-
So you guys don't think Lowry can hold his own as a shooter? Also, keep in mind his D is streets ahead of Curry's. And Curry is oft-injured.
-
Who would you rather have in the following situation:
a) To build a team around
b) As a third or even fourth wheel
-
Right now and moving forward, who would you rather have playing at PG - Kyle Lowry or Stephen Curry? Moreover, is Lowry really a capable 3 point shooter, or is this season an aberration? Take defence into consideration as well.
Pay particular heed to who would be better in a team having Harden, LeBron, Love, and Howard.
-
If Stephen Curry were playing for some other team which doesn't ignored D completely, would he still be a defensive liability? Does he have defensive potential, or is it a complete lost case?
-
What about the chemistry aspect? CP3 & LBJ are best friends. D12 and LBJ, not so much. Plus, don't underrate Aldridge in comparison to Love.
-
A similar styled player would be more economical as you can use the veterans on the team to help him develop with your head coaches style; that particular player would only prolong your teams success as he can take over after Dirk, yet bring a new dynamic of youthful innovation to your current team as well.
What if the player is young, like maybe Eric Gordon? Would you rather have a similar style player for continuity, or a different one to give variety?
-
Would you rather have a player's backup similar to him (e.g. Dirk backed up by Ryan Anderson) or offering a very different style (e.g. Dirk backed up by Brandon Bass)?
-
The team with D12 and Steph in it. You surround Dwight with shooters and that is a winning formula itself and topping that off with LeBron makes this team great.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but then my friend pointed out that the fact that Paul and LeBron were best friends whereas Dwight and LBJ didn't like each other meant that the team having CP3 would have far better chemistry.
-
In a real game, which team would be better?
CP3, Eric Gordon, LeBron, Aldridge, Al Horford, or
Curry, Eric Gordon, LeBron, Love, D12.

I made mine in a day :glasses: Speed up
Fine then. 80 mill it is. And let's be a bit practical i.e. No D-Rose and CP3 in same team, even if financially do-able.
