  1. That was probably the worst. At least the choir was somewhat entertaining.
  2. Well said, the FT dunk has just become so redundant (if you don't know the meaning of redundant, ask Charles) it seems like we see it every year. Serge didn't deserve to go to the Finals. As difficult as that dunk is, it's been done to death, and really isn't that exciting to see. With that being said, I don't think DeRozan deserved to go to the Finals either. He had one amazing dunk, but the other wasn't as great.
  3. I think the best dunk of the night was Blake's first, that was just amazing. DeRozan definitely gets second, while Ibaka gets third. I think overall, JaVale was the most consistent with his creativity, and he probably could have won had Ibaka not stolen his idea (unintentionally of course, but it was smart on JaVale's part that he didn't go through with it). For anyone that's curious as to what JaVale's idea was, here it is: http://dc.sbnation.com/washington-wizards/2011/2/18/2001133/nba-slam-dunk-contest-2011-javale-mcgee http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/548434/dunkcontest2011_medium.jpg ^^By far the most creative dunk I've seen in a long time. Much better than any of Dwight's dunks. But this has to be one of the best dunk contests, probably my favorite since 2003. I second guessed the idea of bringing in coaches at first, but I like it. It just adds to the entertainment, especially with a guy like Chris Webber and Kenny the Jet. http://twitter.com/#!/RicBucher/status/39177332275150848 Great to hear, hopefully the NBA stops the fan voting, I think if the judges had a say in who the winner was, JaVale would have taken home the gold.

  8. Superstars are created by the media through their feats and accomplishments. They are blown up to be Gods on the court and unreal people. Superstardom is intangible and doesn't have much to do with numbers as it does with perception. Vince Carter might not have been a top 15 player in the league but he was a superstar. Dwight Howard might not have been a better center than Yao Ming, but Yao would be considered a superstar before Dwight. Pierce probably wouldn't be considered a superstar even though he's won a title but Nash and Nowitzki have enough of a captivated audience that they are superstars despite coming up short of a championship. That being said, my list is pretty short: Kobe LeBron Wade Rose Paul D-Will Melo Dirk Durant Howard Amare I think you guys are looking at this word in the wrong way. There's a differences between a Superstar and a Super-dominant player. I know we don't normally throw around the term "super dominant" but it's the most accurate description of an elite player. Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Howard, D-Will, and CP3 are the only super-dominant players in the league now because they absolutely control the pace of a game. All of them are absolutely great players on both ends of the court, and have very little holes in their game.
  9. idk man truman show is on though! u on dat meebzzzzz?

  10. http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/273/11641978.jpg Wall's reaction to Sager's comment regarding Cousins.
  11. Statement game for the Bulls, Derrick Rose has had a phenomenal game.
  12. I'll choose Wall because I believe he is the best passer out of the 5 (CP3 might be better, it's close) and the fastest, but his jumpshot is a major concern for me. This has honestly been my favorite competition for the past few years, looking forward to it.

  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIqn6xlRvEE&feature=player_embedded#at=21 lol at the Magic bench. Get that man some ankle insurance.
  18. Popovich. He has shown how great he can be this year by orchestrating a top ten offense and defense, while only playing Duncan under 30MPG. Spurs are on pace for over 60 wins, that should be more than enough to give him COY.
  19. ....I actually won't be surprised now if Mitch pulls the trigger on a trade.
  20. Celtics FO really likes Gody for some reason, but I think he'd be the first to go. He provides absolutely nothing to the team right now. Wafer is playing too well right now for him to be cut. Hopefully Rip comes to Boston, he'd be great off the bench. He can play defense in the right system, and is a proven scorer and winner.
  21. For the Cavs! http://i1087.photobucket.com/albums/j466/itsfunnyDUH/LOL.gif
  22. Griffin is more than just a highlight film. He's just a more complete player than Bosh is. His game has a lot of Chris Webber and Shawn Kemp in it, both of which I'd take over a prime Bosh. Griffin is the best of both worlds. Not to rip on Bosh or anything, he's still a good player, but Griffin is edging closer and closer to that superstar category. It's only a matter of time. Blake is clearly the better rebounder despite playing next to a very good rebounding center in DeAndre Jordan. Blake also is the superior passer, beyond statistics, anyone who watches both know it's an easy call to make. Neither are great defenders, Bosh is extremely soft and Blake lacks fundamentals and experience at this point. In Blake's case, he has the potential to be a better defender, but in Bosh, he was then what he is now. He'll block a shot every now and then, but he's generally a soft and easy player for most to take an advantage of. Blake has the strength and athleticism to improve in that regard. Griffin is the better player.
  23. Ugh, looking forward to All Star Weekend.. This game is a nightmare.
