  1. I think this will sort of fizzle out, and they will subtly go back to how it's been, there was nothing wrong with how it's been.. Players should only be t'd for yelling at the ref or making a mockery of the game, not because they are upset with a call. It really is ridiculous, oh how I hate Stern.
  2. Who, Orr? I wouldn't even call Orr an agitator lol, he is just a fighter. Not to mention he buried last night.

  4. With Amare as the best rebounder on the team, what did you honestly expect?
  5. Seriously, and after that Suns game I was actually concerned we might overachieve this year. Literally nothing I have seen, in my brief viewing, has impressed me with this team. Weems is gunning, Demar isn't being as assertive as he should be, Bargnani has played like he doesn't care, honestly he should be benched for opening night if this continues. Kleiza is better than I expected, I don't think he will be great, but in a couple years when we are ready to take a run at the playoffs, he will definitely be able to help us.
  6. Got the Pens tonight, not very optimistic, Crosby and Malkin have both been very quiet and are bound to go off soon, hopefully it isn't tonight. Going to need to stay out of the box and take advantage on the PP opportunities. Hopefully the PK remains effective, we are gonna need to stay out of the box for sure. Excited for this game though, I missed the last one which sucked, such a big gap between games, then no game this Saturday, wtf s that...
  7. What an idiot, do him and LBJ have the same PR reps? As the best player on the team, or most accomplished, I am sure if he approached Flip and told him to get Nick some run, he would have probably obliged.... the thought was there, but if this is true then smh, at least he's trying I guess.
  8. Perk is their best defensive player, or their defensive anchor if you will, but KG is definitely the defensive leader... you probably won't see anyone missing their assignments more than once with KG on the floor, and if you do they'll be crying next timeout.
  9. Reggie Evans is honestly one of the stupidest basketball players I've seen.
  10. You've never had any sort of volunteer experience? There is a lot of stuff you can put on there that aren't salaried jobs. Talk to your parents, they should be able to help you put together a passable resume that looks good, my Mom set mine up when I was in 9th grade and now I just edit it when needed. Don't apply online, I don't know anyone personally that has ever gotten hired that way.
  11. You have to make yourself appealing, make up a nice resume (even ask your Mom or Dad to), try and get it to the manager (or a higher up) personally, be approachable, don't dress like a bum when handing in a resume/application or for your interview. Make sure you have good references as well. People mostly aren't hiring right now, and the ones that are, are looking at tons of kids just like you, so it's important you be personable and make them remember you when you applied or during your interview. I worked at a pizza joint, a typical part time job, and I can tell you now the dummies who came in looking like bums or dopes, their resumes went right into the recycle. The people who talked to the boss, made a good impression, followed up, they were the first ones called. Theres no harm dropping a resume off more than once. You only applied online? that there is your problem.
  12. I support tanking through the GM, you trade players who aren't in the long term plans that will win more games for you. You don't encourage losing, but at the same time I don't want you to make acquisitions to try and win more. You are better off in the NBA winning 20 games than 30, if you aren't drafting in the top 5 you'll be lucky if the player you draft is a starter 5 years down the road. You win in the NBA by getting superstars, the only way to (typically) do this is to get a top 3 pick, and to do that, you have to lose a lot. I would rather my team tank and win 15 games than win 35 games, there are far more positives in winning 15 than 35. So I guess you could say I support tanking as long as the best players are still playing, if you want to lose more, trade your top players (unless they are long term pieces to the puzzle of course).
  13. So ridiculous they begin to instill these attitudes now that we have such a [expletive]ty team, seriously this organization is such a joke sometimes.
  14. That is what will happen if the Raptors ever get good.... honestly half the Canadians on the internet are Raptor haters, and once (*IF*) they get good they will be 'fans'. After reading RD's post I guess I can appreciate someone who has rooted for a team for their entire life regardless of geographical location. As long as they cheer that team on unconditionally and know about them, frontrunners are the worst. One of the worst things are fans of TEAMS, not fans of the sport itself.... gotta love those fans who are basically out of touch with reality when it comes to teams outside their own.
  15. What exactly a 'pure point' is by your definition (you need 8+ apg?), and how people rate them to begin with. I don't think you can understate the importance of having a point that can competently handle the ball and play defense, but when you have a player like Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Duncan, you obviously don't necessarily need a ball dominant point.
  16. I've met like 4 people from Miami online and at least 3 of them are Yankees fans
  17. I guarantee you Kleiza averages over 15 a game.
