Pierce is too fat to jump over anyone anymore he has to stick his knee out to get to the basket. It was a dirty play and the stare down was completely unneeded, especially since Bosh was hurt from the play. If Bosh was postered okay stare his [expletive] down but the fact is he stuck his knee into his gut and it should have been an offensive foul if anything. But I'm not mad at Pierce, the fact that the only guy on the Raptors who got pissed off that our only good player just got pwned and stared down was our coach, is why I am mad. Boston turned their defense on the in the 3rd though, was really hard to watch our offense. Our announcer said to prepare for a game vs the Celtics you should run your plays against 6 defenders to get ready, pretty much right. Oh yeah, Peirce is a [expletive] lucky Reggie Evans wasn't there or he'd have been on his [expletive] next time down the floor.

Lol at Pierce sticking his knee into Bosh's gut, and of course he is the one who is going to look like a hero. It is also pathetic how no one on the Raptors is going after Pierce after that. Our coach is the only one who does anything, our team takes that [expletive] lying down. Pierce real tough staring down a guy who is down hurt. Would love to see Bosh run someone over even if he gets a charge, who cares. Of course he won't

Which should I get? Is 2k still the superior game?

This is gonna be one of those games where we hold the lead until 9 minutes left in the 4th and the Cetics go on a 13 run or something and we never recover.

The NBA's "Other" Terrible Team
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in General NBA Discussion
The more losses the better as far as I am concerned. Would 25 wins really be better than 15? While in the standings it would be you are getting number 1 projected instead of 2 or 3. GET OUT THE TANK. -
I find sign and trades never get much value, usually picks at best. Bosh wouldn't come out and say that but if we assumed the info leaked that he was leaving from a credible source, I think his value would be very low. I think we might be able to get a pick of a second rate prospect package, but unless Bosh committed to that team I doubt he would get good value. If he was willing to commit to a potential trading partner his value would have to be very high, he is a top NBA big man right now. Bargnani and Calderon are the players whose value I am interested in.
-
The only team that would trade for Redd's 2010 and beyond salary is the Cavs. And I'm not sure even they are prepared to do that even though they should.
-
Take Jose and Bargnani off the Raptors ones. When I see their faces on my computer screen I want to log off!

This is what I am thinking.

Tim Chisholm: "Antoine Wright Should Start"
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
I posted in another thread I would like to see Demar on the bench just because his teammates there would actually look at him. The PG (Jack) doesn't have eyes for one guy like Jose does for Bosh. Plus our bench would run the floor a lot with Demar on there, along with guys like Marco, Jack, Amir etc. I completely disagree with the claim that Wright would be a superior starter, because Demar is a good starter. He is solid defensive, better than I actually expected, but he plays within himself and doesn't try to create anything out side what he is comfortable. Wright is so overrated defensively, he is nothing special defensively he is not a stopper but he is solid. He is terrible on offense making more boneheaded plays than he does good on defense. Demar is definitely the guy I would rather see starting, but Demar on the bench would be ideal because I would like to see what he can do with touches, and being able to create on his own without being the 5th option. I wouldn't even mind seeing Marco get a start or two to see what he does in a starting role. Maybe he could only be effective off the bench, but besides Hedo he has definitely been our best wing as of late. -
Bargnani is clueless on the pick and roll and is clueless on rotations. He gets the odd weakside block but other than that he is absolutely useless defensively. We can't afford to have opposing PG's blow by Jose at will when we have Andrea and Bosh down low who don't provide any sort of help really. While there is no cushion for the wings on defense, they would be terrible either way tbh. I mean even Dwight Howard could only bail Jose out so many times. I've come to accept as long as Jose AND Andrea are on this team we can't be anything more than .500 or so, probably the 2 most important positions defensively we have two of the worst defenders at that position in the entire league, at least in comparison to starters. The worst part is Bargnani neither looks like he cares or is trying on the defensive end, and he gives up offensive boards at times without his feet even leaving the floor, he expects the ball to just come to him. I don't know about Andrea being the worst, but I am almost certain Jose is the worst starting PG in the NBA, there are some dumpy C's out there but most other teams have a quick PG who is at least relatively competent defensively, Jose is neither quick or capable defensively. It is frustrating watching Jose get blown by and teams go end to end and laying it in without getting contested, would rather see them foul the damn guy. It is also frustrating that the guy expected to lead this team is completely ignorant to all this, which I doubt he is because I am sure he reads the paper and ESPN, or he has too much pride to revamp the team and guys he has called his 'core' for so long. This national team isn't working, we need athletic guys who can defend, we can sacrifice some scoring, especially from Andrea, for a banger like Andris Biedrins. That would be an amazing deal for us if we could do something for Andris, always been a big fan of his, not sure what sort of value he would have if BC inquired about him.

Bosh is probably our best defender, his defense is vastly underrated he is a solid defender at the very least. Demar is still shaky and while he is good at contesting the shot, he often gives up the drive and there is no help because Bargnani is nowhere to be found and Bosh isn't really a shotblocker. As long as Bargnani is on this team we won't achieve any success beyond mediocrity, unless he somehow learns how to play defense and stops wandering on the defensive end. Gerald Wallace said about our interior defense that Bosh is the only big man at the rim, makes it easy when every time you drive that Bosh is the only one there, and he isn't really a guy that will strike fear into the slashers. We can afford to give up Bargnani's streaky scoring if we could get another young big man who plays defense and rebounds very good. We should have traded for Chandler when he was cheap as dirt.
-
I wonder if this is what BC's envision was when he started building this team. Pretty pathetic our best defender in the starting 5 is probably our rookie. You can get by with bad defenders, but Bargnani and Jose look absolutely lost on defense. Their defensive woes hurt us more than their offense helps us IMO.

Is Amare Stoudemire a "Top 5" PF?
Check my Stats replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in General NBA Discussion
Stat will get exposed the day he stops playing wish Nash. He is a good player but he will be just as overpaid as Shard was if he gets a max deal, if not more so. He is a PF who is terrible on D and isn't a good rebounder, he might be able to jump high and score well, but he doesn't bring much else to the table. -
Reggie Evans to See a Foot Specialist
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Not even as anxious as I was for him to come back tbh. I just want his presence but I have a feeling that I will prefer Amir to Evans in the end. -
Teams that are terrible at scoring are teams we should eat alive. Bobcats are really hitting the offensive glass though.

No.

Breaking news: Allen Iverson retires
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
You can't keep a top 5 PPG player of all time out of the hall, an MVP as well. People honestly hold titles WAYYY to high in regard if that is what this is all about. If it is about his attitude I don't see how his personality is relevant in basketball ability and accomplishments. Any way you slice it he should be a first ballot HOFer. Anyways, I'll believe it when I see the press conference. He is still capable of contributing to a team, and if he IS retiring he is doing so way too early, not only in his career but in the season as well. -

It is time to trade Redd. Jennings has shown enough that he will be this team's franchise player moving forward, even if he doesn't average 25 this year all year chances are he will down the road. But really they have had an absolute cupcake schedule. The only impressive win is the one over Denver everything else is over non-playoff teams/complete garbage teams. If I had to give a straight answer it is no, they are not better than the Raptors and Bulls. They could fight for the 8 seed. Maybe if Jennings can maintain his effectiveness and Redd can have a positive impact upon his return they can. I just don't see enough talent over an 82 game season that can get them into the playoffs. Plus I am pretty confident Jennings is going to hit a wall once teams focus on him defensively, kind of like the Spurs seemed to do. Wait until the Bucks go on a west coast trip and then let's see how their record looks.

I sincerely think it is hilarious no one has mentioned Yao in this thread. Not saying he is the clear cut best but he is easily in the same class as all the aformentioned. Just like how everyone forgot how dominant Wade was while he was injured everyone forgets how good Yao is because of his injury troubles. KG isn't a post player, Pau is good but is not dominant in the post, he is a good passer out of the post but he doesn't demand a double team. Of course there will be times when he is playing well or has a good matchup where his defender can't handle him and he will need a double. When healthy I think Yao is the best scoring big man in the NBA. EDIT- traditional back to the basket big man.

Can the Thunder keep up the good play?
Check my Stats replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
I wouldn't bet money on them making the playoffs. But they could make gradual progression each year, playoffs should be the goal for this year and next. Still think this team is missing a true number 1 big man, a banger down low. You can't really expect to be successful when your best rebounder is 6.7 rebounds and is a wing. -
How many PPG for Lebron after 30 y/o?
Check my Stats replied to kingfish's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
He is still so strong and big he could choose to develop a post game if he wanted. Also LeBron's jumper is underrated, while it may never be unstoppable he could develop a very good mid range game if he put a lot of focus on that in terms of his development. This kid is still only 24 years old, 6 years from now his game could have reached new heights if he continues to work. No one thought MJ would dominate as he got older but then he developed a good deep shot, LeBron could easily do the same. But it will also depend on his supporting cast, by 30 he will have played 12 seasons, hopefully not all 12 were with him playing 40 minutes as the ONLY option like he is now. -
Pops no doubt.
