  1. DPOTY simply CANNOT got to a wing player, ever. Big men alter entire defenses. Iggy might shut his man down, but Dwight's shot blocking presence (for example) alters the game of all 5 players on the opposing team, that is why he will always win MVP. Not to mention his team's stats back him up
  2. Seems like a lot of players are having big first games, this tournament could really overhaul the draft moving forward.
  3. Didn't read thread. He is leading an inferior cast to LeBron to a better record so LBJ isn't even in the discussion. He has good enough stats which is all that matters. MVP has never gone to the player with the best stats, otherwise LBJ would be winning his like 5th straight this year.
  4. Maybe he just ain't as good as everyone thought.
  5. Why does everyone love Wade so much and hate LBJ? This idiot is talking about getting rest when his team is playing like they are? I mean if the Heat were rolling then alright, but come on.... Wade is talking about wanting more rest, and LBJ is talking about his these last games are a chance to improve for the playoffs, yet LBJ is public enemy number 1 on the internet?
  6. 17-10-7 in the win, beast. You make him 6-10 and this is probably a guaranteed lotto pick we are talking about (if he isn't already I wouldn't know honestly lol).
  7. All I am gonna say is it will be interesting to see how many Laker fans there are after Kobe has moved on, whether it is retiring or on a new team in the last years of his career. I know there are a lot of loyal Kobe fans out there, but not so sure about loyal Laker fans. It will be interesting, but in the meantime I'll just sit back and let everyone else fight it out. If you yourself are a loyal fan, then who cares about the rest of the organization's fans, just do you.
  8. Might as well keep him rather than hire another rookie coach. I mean if we've got an accomplished coach lined up, then by all means give him a shot. I just really hope next year BC doesn't go all out and try and be a playoff team again like he did last time we got Bargnani first. Let the team build naturally, my fear is if we DO hire a new coach, BC is going to be pushing for the playoffs.
  9. Just read ECN's post about one of them leaving after the 3rd year, and I wouldn't be surprised if LBJ gtfo'd to sign another huge deal depending on how the CBA is looking at that point.
  10. Imagine Kobe's reaction if they shut off the lights while he was in the middle of shooting around? Dude would probably snap show lol.
  11. Hogan should be first despite being the most overrated ever, he still put wrestling on the map and without him (and moreso Vinny Mac) wrestling would still just be a sideshow performance going town to town, rather than what it is today. Rock and Austin go interchangably 2/3 as they ushered in the most popular era of wrestling we will EVER see. Period. They made wrestling cool, which we never know if that will happen again. If this list is being made on talent alone, rather than drawing/star power, then Michaels is arguably first, but Flair should be way closer to the top as well. But then if it is based on overall talent, Rock probably isn't even top 15, the guy was exciting and the best promo man, but he couldn't wrestle. Guys like Jericho, Angle, etc would easily all be top 10-5. Pretty horrible list overall, but you can tell they were going for controversy. There seems to be no one way they made the list by.
  12. I watched Minority Report for the first time last night and I liked it quite a bit, cool movie.
  13. It seems like coach Nick thinks Chris Bosh is Amare Stoudemire. Bosh is not going to roll to the basket, and he is probably going to hit that 15 foot/mid range jump shot more than he is going to miss it. Bosh is 'settling' for those jump shots because that is the bread and butter of his offensive game. He isn't going to roll to the basket and finish strong at the rim off a screen, if you want Bosh taking it to the basket you are going to have to run an isolation or get the ball in his hands and clear out a side, that is just the player he is. He is shooting around 50% like he always has, he is the same player he always has been, so to expect him to overhaul his offensive mindset in his 8th NBA season is kind of crazy in my opinion. I don't see the point in calling out Chris Bosh for being the player he always has been. Maybe if Bosh was your 2nd offensive option his shot selection/offensive repertoire might be a concern if you're trying to win a championship, but he is their 3rd option offensively. If you want to blame Bosh as a reason the Heat might not be able to be a championship team, I really don't think his offensive game is the thing you should be talking about. Maybe talk about how he gets consistently abused inside, his lack of effort on the glass or his non-existent defensive pride.
  14. I love Harden, like I've said before he really is the key to this team moving forward imo.
  15. I wouldn't bring him back based on principle alone if I am in the front office of New England. Even if he could play (can he even still be effective?) I would tell him to get lost after the way he behaved on his way out last year.
  16. This will work against some teams, but when it counts (playoffs) it won't.
  17. Am I the only one who would rather see Miz-Rock cut a promo together? Don't get me wrong Cena is a bigger icon than Miz, but I just feel like he is going to get owned so badly and Miz at least would have a chance to hold his own. I also hope that Miz puts The Rock on the shelf the night after Wrestlemania. We know he isn't coming back, so Miz attacking and injuring him ('ending his career') would equal #1 heel for life. In a heel vs face promo the heel has a chance, but there is no one EVER who is going to 'out-face' the Rock, and that is the situation Cena is in right now.
  18. I actually really like the Paul Pierce comparison. haven't seen him much but it seems pretty accurate.
  19. And this is why Kobe is still a top 5 player and guys like Vince Carter and T-Mac are done already.
  20. If you are asking which player I would rather draft it is Barnes for sure.
  21. Everyone cares about them lol. They are still one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA.
