Guys lets be real. Eminem hasn’t put out a decent album since Encore. The past two albums have been very disappointing and are not as good as before. The reason I believe he gets all these noms is because he is now marketable to the public. Before when he was still ‘drugged’ out and was a winkle in society’s eye, the public did not want to push for it. But now since he is clean, they are able to push him. I still think he is riding out his old fame and a lot of his old fans still want to follow and believe. Don’t get me wrong, we all do it. I did it when Kanye came out with 808s & Heartbreaks. Sure, it wasn’t the best, but I still loved it.
You guys just can’t write off Arcade Fire and say they don’t deserve the award. Their album is actually really good and just because they aren’t on mainstream radio doesn’t mean the put out good music. They just don’t fit in the stereotype, doesn’t mean they put out good music. They have been getting bigger and better recently. A lot of people who say, “oh, Eminem should of won” or “who is Arcade fire?” or “what an Arcade fire” most likely just listens to the radio or just keeps their head on one set of music.
Yes that exactly what AF did.
Before you shoot down AF, actually give it a listen.
One thing I do love. For Canada, the 3 nominees; Drake, Bieber, and Arcade Fire, in the big awards, AF came on top. Love it haha.
sidenote: this def has been the longest post I have on here since maybe back when I was in High School lol.
I agree Recovery wasn't anywhere near his best, but he still def has it.
Insane, Buffalo Bill, Music Box, Stay Wide Awake, Careful What You Wish For, Cocaine ,Beautiful, Deja Vu, Despicable, Cold Wind Blows, On Fire, Going Through Changes, Almost Famous... to name the most prominent.

Recovery was the best rap album by any mainstream hip-hop artist last year, but individually third worst Eminem album. It's a lot better than Relapse was, but A LOT worse than classics like Slim Shady, MM LP's, and the Eminem Show. Too bad not any semi-mainstream or underground artists never get recognized by big time events like Grammy awards.
To me Relapse > Recovery and i still believe that Recovery deserved AOTY.

I guess the only way you can win the main awards in the Grammys now a days is by showing up in eggs, wearing pieces of meat, dressing like a clown, etc.

Arcade Fire is a pretty known band in the indie scene. They aren't Eminem or Jay-Z, but their album is better than both none the less.
Grammy's just baited everyone. They hyped the [expletive] out of Eminem's comeback/recovery, give him 10 nominations and he wins 2 without the main "Album of the year". Arcade Fire does not deserve album of the year, compared to Eminem who comes back from near fatal over dose, drugs, etc. and then has the best selling album of the year.
And I thought Relapse > Recovery technically, skill wise, etc.

Grammys were a [expletive]ing joke this year...the only part of the show that was entertaining was Eminem + Dre + Rihanna performing. I still don't see how Em only won 2 out of 10.

Ya I agree the news just pours in quicker than any other news outlet.
But I will say sometimes it's like Wiki lol use it as a stepping stone and go find a reliable source for more info haha. I remember during Christmas so many false reports of death on Twitter

I thought Recovery was a good album. Pretty good production, a lot of nice features...
Anyway, B.o.B. always puts on a nice performance. I really thought his first album was tremendous.
His album was great but for some reason it seems like he does a better job on his mixtapes haha.
I still can't believe Eminem didn't get Album of the year for "MMLP & TES" but will probably get it for "Recovery".

Favorites: Eminem.
The guy is nominated for 11 awards i believe, and that's just [expletive]ing crazy.
Hopefully he wins Album of the Year which he has been snubbed in for his two classics, (MMLP, TES). This should be his year.
