Much deserved. An owner to end all owners.

It's because he's 37 years old.

I think it's just not trying to steal spotlight. During the all star practices he was living it up with all the guys just like everyone else. I don't think he sees himself as a showman and doesn't want to be seen as one. He wants to be seen as a basketball player and that's it. That's why pretty much all his endorsement stuff has had him on the court. I'm sure eventually that will fade a little bit.

Yeah I've been on Niketalk for years. Mostly in the Kobe threads.
I do see you on SEN every now and then. I pretty much only play MW3 nowadays.

Unnecessarily hard foul. Intentional because he was getting worked. And Kobe still plays out the game (2nd most minutes).

My main man Terry. His love and work for the site was unmatched in the early days. I bet he's robbing doods blind in Fantasy Basketball as we speak

I went at ALCS once in a personal message and got suspended for three days; Its all good I respect him now since I'm older.
You probably deserved it.

We have a better chance of getting CP3..still.

His free throws are so ugly to watch right now. He has no touch at the line whatsoever as evidenced of him gyrating after every one he puts up. To think it'll be like that all year is crazy.
-
A lot of this isn't too unexpected. I think Shaq is going to be mostly truthful. He just has to be slightly controversial to sell. His name is big enough and he has been interesting enough throughout his whole basketball career.
Sad thing is this should be dead and gone. It keeps getting regurgitated. I hope when it's all said that Kobe does NOT write a book about all this stuff. We're really not meant to know.

@RicBucher
Source: David Stern pointed his finger at players while talking. Wade shouted, "You're not pointing your finger at me. I'm not your child."
Guess Wade will be getting to the line less.

Hmmmmm..I don't know man. If it is that big of an issue there aren't a great number of players that seem to exude a physique built on steroids.
Side note - I know Rose said it but this is more General NBA then Bulls-specific.
-
Yes there is not one player I would want in place of B-Griff if I'm the Clipps. Not LeBron, not Durant, not Dwight.
-
The reason I dont like that idea is because it would make injuries such a huge difference maker in the game. With the season being long it allows injuries that are going to happen come and go. If the season is cut by 20 games that is about a month and a half gone off the year, which really would make a huge impact to players recovering from injuries and their teams. Reducing games would make minor injuries major costing teams games which in short season cant really be made up.
Less games mean a less rigorous season means less injuries.
Swish I'm as huge of a basketball freak as anyone, and I'm sure more than most, but general fans don't get into NBA ball because of the long season AND the long-as-butt games. Timeout, 1 minute of play, timeout, free throws, etc.
I think a shortening of the season plus a speeding up of the games would be good.
But we all know that the # of games will more than likely increase in our lifetimes and not decrease.

That's bull. In those situations those guys are still looking to Kobe to take the shots. They don't want to potentially make dumb plays because that light will shine very brightly on them. Kobe doesn't give a flying eff. If he was worried about scrutiny on his mistakes he'd be passing in the 4th like many other players tend to do.
Did you like that slight shot at LeBron as much as I did?
-
I'd drop it to 62 games. 3 games against your division. 2 games against everyone else. I think the season is too long. Games throughout the year need to mean something, not just the latter half which is usually just for playoff seeding.
I think the NFL and NASCAR are so popular because of this. Their seasons are comprised of very few events per team compared to their season length (NFL: 16 games in 5 months, NASCAR Sprint Cup: 36 races in 10 months).
The NBA's season has half as many games as the MLB. Actually think about that. The strain that NBAers go through game-to-game, season-to-season compared to non-pitching MLBers is not even close.

This is what they wanted. It's like a guy going after the really hot chick even though he's heard that she doesn't give it up and is high maintenance. The guy believes she''ll change after marriage but finds out nothing changed and he starts regretting ever going after her. Then he cheats on her with another chick, she keys his car and slashes his tires, they end up fighting over custody of the kids, and he finds out she was cheating on him the whole time.

Uh oh shots fired.
