No. The girl did not feel threatened, she felt that the guy was going to take the merchandise and run with it. She had another clerk standing right next to her as well so feeling threatened is way out of the question. With him walking up to her and asking for specific merchandise that is valued very high is what triggered the suspicion. Making no small talk going right up to a clerk and telling her to bring you something would raise suspicion, that is why the precautionary measure were taken. No one is really wrong here the girl, the store, or the customer they all were right in what they did, and how they did it.
