Interesting that you bring that up. http://offthedribble.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/01/19/rose-dwarfs-other-improvements-with-defense/ The article is a little over a month old, but it's not like the Bulls or Derrick Rose have gotten any worse over that time period. People need to stop hating and accept the fact that Derrick Rose is a top 3 defender at point.
-
Anyone catch this during the game? http://oi56.tinypic.com/smdcvr.jpg Wilt's got nothing on Rose.
-
Dwight is probably runner up imo, but it's not close. MVP=wins+stats. While Dwight is putting up impressive numbers the fact remains that his team is the 4th seed in the East, and that wont get it done. Dwight has more talent to work with, they just aren't as cohesive as the Bulls and it shows.
-
Lebron is teamed up with a superstar in Wade, and an allstar in Bosh. He would have to put up some really convincing numbers to win MVP. And to be quite honest I don't think either of those guys are going to win MVP as long as they are on the same team, not with guys like Rose, Durant, and Dwight being the focal points on their respective teams. Derrick Rose is averaging 24.7 points per game and 7.9 assists per game and the Bulls currently have the #1 seed. The teams #2 scoring option Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah have missed 52 games between the two of them. He's simply doing more with less.

Well atleast it looks like the Celts are going to lose...
-
And Rose blocks Grangers gamewinner. MVP!
-
^They fouled Rose while he was attempting a three, and Rose hit all 3 ft's. Dude has been the definition of clutch this season.
-
Rose hits three clutch free throws to send the game into OT. [expletive]ing beast!
-
I dont understand why Korver decided to pass that three up. And Rose of all people shouldn't be putting up a three, he has been on a ridiculous shooting drought from downtown.
-
Huge and 1 for Rose, hits the ft's and cuts it to 2. Epic collapse by the Pacers.
-
Kurt Thomas got killed, not just by TH but just in general. He just doesn't have the lateral quickness anymore.
-
Chicago's biggest strength has killed them today, just poor rebounding leading to second chance oppertunites. The Pacers have pulled won atleast 6-7 offense boards this half. Still making a late push though, if only the Bulls hadn't been so reliant on the three ball earlier in the game.
-
Did you vote against every ACC team? And I filled out a couple brackets on yahoo, and one on ESPN.
-
Bulls look tired. Defense and rebounding isn't there tonight. Thibs is going to give this team an earful at the half.
-
That Memphis loss was a heartbreaker. Too many turnovers led to their demise.I'm surprised that there was no foul called on the rebound, that block was clean.
-
why is everyone ignoring Portland/Aldridge?

It's the Cavs. -
Wtf, I didn't even realize that Michigan State cut their game to one. I switched the channel at halftime because UCLA was winning in a blowout. Edit: And Lucas travels....wow
-
Well so much for the high hopes for St. Johns, they [expletive]ed my bracket over.
-
And just when you thought the Cavs couldn't replicate their performance against the Lakers...
-
Derrick Rose with yet another suffocating defensive performance, he has just shit on Deron Williams in their last two head to head matchups.
-
Alot more doubles in the post from St. Johns, good adjustment in the last couple minutes.
-
St. Johns is just sloppy on offense, I'm waiting for Hardy to put his imprint on this game. St. Johns also needs to do a better job rebounding and fronting Gongaza's big men, way too many easy shots for them.
-
Richmond v. Moorehead State, well that should be a fun matchup.
-
We did? I don't understand the whole intentionally miss a free throw in that situation. Questionable decision imo. Edit: Yup, we did lol. Just noticed it.
-
Richmond just keeps on coming up with timely baskets.
