The "purity of the game" my ass. These schools makes millions of dollars off of these kids and young adults, and these kids aren't allowed to get shit in return, besides the select group of players that get full scholarships. These players deserve to be compensated.

So, the top 25 QB recruits in the country are going to go to the same few schools? No, there's a lot more than that, which goes into the decision players make. Playing time, location, ect. are major factors.

I knew right when I read this article that this bum wrote for Football Outsiders before. It's no wonder that article absolutely sucked. First in ypr and 12th in total yards. Right, he's completely overrated. Unless you think he's Jerry Rice, I don't see how he's overrated.

Thanks for stating the obvious. Besides the NCAA and their terrible and pathetic rules, I think most people could give two shits about players getting benefits. Also, I'm not just talking about this case because this case far exceeds just "normal" benefits. In general, I think players should be allowed to receive money and gifts.

Yes, there are a few "rate my fantasy team" threads that are active right now, but considering that on the first page on the active content list, there's a thread that was last posted in at around 2:00 yesterday afternoon, I think more activity is good, and it's not really cluttering everything. Also, if these were merged into one topic, there is no doubt it would turn into a pissing match about which teams are better.

I was just looking at a thread on the 49er's message board talking about how ESPN picked the Rams to win the division, which is a very reasonable choice, but then I saw their first half schedule, and holy shit is it brutal. I know "on paper" doesn't always mean much, but on paper, the Rams are in BIG trouble the first half of the season. Week 1: vs.Philadelphia Week 2: @New York Giants Week 3: vs.Baltimore Week 4: vs.Washington Week 5: Bye Week 6: @Green Bay Week 7: @Dallas Week 8: vs.New Orleans Week 9: @ Arizona Week 10: @ Cleveland Week 11: vs. Sea Week 12: vs. Arizona Week 13: @ San Fran Week 14: @ Sea Week 15: vs. Cincy Week 16: @ Pitt Week 17: vs. San Fran Is there a worst schedule of any team to start the season this year than the Rams? Hopefully the 49er's can start the season strong and put a lot of pressure on the Rams. That schedule is nothing but brutal for the first 8 weeks.

Also, Vernon Davis is my favorite player, and has by far the most potential of any TE to have the most fantasy points this season, but I would try and move him in a package for Gronkowski. From all accounts I've heard, Gronkowski has looked the best out of any Patriots player, and has been talked about as looking not like a pro-bowl player this season, but an All-Pro. You could really get some nice pieces in a trade for Gronkowski+ because most people who have Gronkowski would give up additional pieces if they were getting Vernon Davis, but being able to watch and follow both the Patriots and 49er's, I expect Gronkowski to have a massive, massive year. I'm thinking 13-16 TD's, and 750 yards this season for him.

For a 12 team league, this is an excellent team. Personally, I'm not on the Foster bandwagon, but if produces like last season, then you have yourself a very good team. You have very good WR's, and I would try and package one of them with Flacco for an upgrade at QB, or even try and move one of your HB's for a QB because Blount will be very good this season, especially around the goal-line.

Aaron Maybin has been waived by the Buffalo Bills. He lost a lot of weight since he was drafted, and there's a DAMN good chance he was on HGH. He supposedly put on 20lbs of muscle in two months before the combine.......in other words, he was on HGH. Even Vernon Gholston lasted longer than Maybin.

Personally, I would start Roy Williams over Felix Jones, but that's just me, unless that's not going to be your exact lineup.

It's hard to judge 10 team leagues, but I don't like Shaub as your QB, at all. You have excellent WR depth, but I don't like Shaub, and I'd be worried about Gore, but maybe he will be good this year. I didn't notice you picked Shaub in the 7th round at first, so maybe it was a decent pick there, but I don't trust him. Also, I think you're in trouble if Gore gets hurt because he IS injury prone, and if that happens, that will probably hurt Vernon as well.
