  1. I don't deny stealing signs probably has more of an effect, but you are downplaying how much a few mph can change a hitters approach.
  2. I don't care too much either, However, if people have problems with giving signs away, then I don't see how this isn't similar. Also, filming teams was never illegal. It was the location, which was a new rule that season, in which BB admitted he violated, and paid the price.
  3. If you're just talking about that one season, then yes, I agree it's because he was the undersized underdog that everyone liked, along with his very good season. Cano can take a back seat at the all-star game to Pedroia, and can watch him in the World Series. :glasses: . I'm feeling really confident this year.
  4. Have someone from the dugout do it. You don't have to be hiding in the stands with a radar gun. Jeter should use his eyes. I don't blame him though since he's been regressing like crazy.
  5. I would have given the MVP to Youkilis as well, but it was obvious it was going to go to Pedroia for his season AND his underdog story. I disagree with him being just a guy who's easy to like. I fully expect him to hit well over .300 this year with the protection he has behind him. I'm thinking around a .320 average hopefully...... Adrian Gonzalez for MVP.
  6. Other than J.D. Drew, I love the Red Sox fielding this year. Adrian, Youk, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Crawford.....damn.
  7. Obviously I wouldn't.....someone else probably would. I'm questioning why it is legal, when stealing signs is not, or signaling from center field.
  8. I'd say Lester definitely could as he was in contention last year, along with Bucholtz. I'm glad Clay got his shit together from a few seasons ago because he was on my shit list along with Papelbum and Ortiz. I want to see what my man Dice-K can do this year. I think he's the x-factor.
  9. I'm pretty sure ESPN did an article on this before, and somehow it's legal, but I don't know why it is. Derek Jete uses Yankees employees in the stands to put fingers up to show how fast the previous pitch was because the guns in the stadium are juiced. This is the same damn thing as stealing signs......... http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/04/Yankees-cheat1-480x460.jpg
  10. I like Pedroia a lot. I know Cano is probably better, but I won't bring myself to say that. It's not that outrageous to say he's better when he hits out of the two hole, won the MVP in 2008, and had an injury riddled season last year, but based off last season, I have no complaints saying Cano is better. I think Pedroia will have a special season this year.
  11. Ellbusry>Gardner Crawford>>>Granderson Drew<<Swisher Youkilis<A-Rod (A-Rod will have more homers, but Youk will have a much better average) Adrian>Tex (If it makes you feel good, you can call it a wash, but Adrian IS better) Pedroi = Cano Scutturo<Jeter (Who knows though after Jeter's pathetic season last year) Salty Dog<<Martin I'll take the Red Sox lineup over the Yankees.
  12. Minus Beckett. He better get his shit together this season because he has been in my doghouse for a while now.
  13. How is it easily the Yankees? There is definitely a legitimate case for them, but I don't think it's "easily" the Yankees. I'll take Jacoby, Pedroia, Youkilis, Crawford, and Gonzalez, and Ortiz over the Yankees top six without hesitation. I would have said this before he arrived in Boston, but there is not one hitter in the league that I would want over Adrian Gonzalez. I can't wait to see what he will do in Fenway. I think it will be close this season, but I'll take the Red Sox lineup and be content with it.
  14. As long as Papelbum is around, it will never be the Red Sox, unfortunately.
  15. Which team do you think has the best fielding in the MLB?
  16. Who do you think has the best lineup in the MLB?
  17. Outside of the Philles because they'd run away with this, who do you think are the best pitching staffs in the MLB?
  18. Nice jinx. Do you mind saying Lester is going to get rocked this afternoon?
  19. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=360366 That's pretty quick to be coming back from a broken neck and a severe concussion.......... The doctors either over-exaggerated the injury or are being stupid and putting Pacioretty's health in jeopardy considering he had a broken neck and a "severe concussion".
  20. I'm just messing with you. Honestly, I really don't like much of his music at all, but he has some material that I don't mind. However, I think Drake is absolutely horrendous, and I turn off the radio every time I hear him.
  21. Your act of being anti-LeBron with everything is getting old. He did almost everything he could for that worthless franchise, yet you and the majority of the fan-base are completely ungrateful.
  22. I never said he was good or better, but I was just asking if anyone likes him because his songs are somewhat catchy, but being better than Wayne is as easy as it comes. It's not some type of accomplishment to be better than him and his autotune garbage as well. It's funny that you say I know nothing about rap and music, yet you think Wayne is good. . I mean, this is better than Wayne. .
  23. Speaking of whack. . You can't be serious with that, can you? Lil Wayne and Drake are just awful, flat out awful.
  24. Obviously these songs were from then, but I've just been listening to it a lot lately.
