The 2nd round pick comes from trading Ronnie which I definitely think we could get for him. There's no way that Best is a better NFL back than Spiller will be. One interesting scenario I saw online was Joe Haden. Obviously we've got Smith and Davis but they said we could draft Haden and move Smith over to free safety. I doubt that happens but it was interesting nonetheless. I like Spiller at 12 because he'd do wonders in the wildcat and splitting carries with Ricky. He'd give us a dimension that we've never had with a running back.

Big fan of Hilliard as well. He showed a lot of promise late in the season. I'd take Spiller at 12 and then trade Ronnie for a second and whatever else we could get so you go defense or receiver in round 2 if you want. Then at 73 I'd go with a pass rusher like Ricky Sapp. Follow that up in round 4 with a tight end like Jimmy Graham.

We matchup a lot better with Atlanta IMO so that's the only legit reason I could see.

Earl Thomas at 12? No thanks. There's only 1 safety worth taking in round 1 IMO and we all know who that is. I want Dez or Spiller. This draft is extremely deep on the defensive side IMO and we can afford to wait until round 2 if we wanted to to get that OLB for our system. Kindle is a nice choice but I still think you go Dez or Spiller. We'd have one of the most explosive offenses in the league. Plus, we can trade Ronnie for a pick or 2.

Cole Aldrich I guess would make the most sense at 12. Maybe Hassan Whiteside but he's a project. If Xavier Henry is there I'd give him a look as well. How's your PG situation?
