  1. Ok, so if Kwame Brown gets lucky on 2/3 last second prayers off of broken plays are we going to automatically crown him as clutch? Please that makes absolutely no sense.
  2. This is a great thing, but no difference will be made because of it. I support it but I also look at it from a realistic point of view.
  3. Really? Tell him to stop flopping so we can take this seriously.
  4. IMO blowing it up and building through the draft will net a better long term future for you guys. Lots of trade chips here that can be used to acquire lottery picks.
  5. I was thinking about this today. What happens when the world decides to cut their losses and give less and less aid to Africa because nothing seems to have changed?
  6. One shot doesn't determine whether or not someone is clutch or not.
  7. Interesting article measuring "clutch". http://www.libertyballers.com/2012/2/29/2832299/lebron-james-kobe-bryant-dwyane-wade-clutch-nba-playoffs-4th-quarter
  8. Martin is a nice player but it doesn't put Philly in the conversation with Miami and Chicago.
  9. Sorry guys http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif http://www.nba.com/heat/photos/600_chalmers_cole_120124.jpg
  10. Maybe. But the board just has an uptight feel to it lately IMO and I feel like I'm not the only one who feels this way. I feel like NSFW stuff can't hurt to be honest.
  11. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a gamble and maybe package some of these guys for a lottery pick in the top 5 if you can find a team willing to do it. Until Philly finds a superstar they're gonna be in that 4th/5th seed range every year. Another thing I noticed with this team is while the talent is young, there's not too much room for growth in terms of potential for them. Only exception is maybe Holliday.
  12. Not a good look to say the least. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif
  13. What will actually happen: Kony will be arrested, 2 more warlords take his place. Rinse and repeat. Nothing is going to change over there until there's even a small sense of stability among the people.
  14. I'm not a big advanced stats guy (if that even is one) so once the guys who are into that shit see this thread I'll let them address it. That being said, Bosh is no slouch on defense. Like I said above he's a very good defender along the perimeter for a big guy and his pick and roll defense has become one of the best in the league since he's gotten to Miami because we emphasize it so much. Offensively, I don't know how its even possible to think Bynum is better.
  15. Thing is, and this isn't a knock at all but with the way superstar's are these days you gotta find a guy who thinks Philly is an attractive place to play and that is willing to commit long term. There's a ton of talent on this team though.
  16. Maybe not, but I feel like we should consider allowing it but there obviously need to be some regulations on it. Its also a nice pitch for recruiting people. Good basketball discussion AND nsfw? Sign me up.
  17. I'm just spitballing here, but what would happen if we allowed NSFW? So long as it stayed in the lounge and the thread had a NSFW tag placed on it. I'm just sayin though..
  18. I probably used a poor choice of words there. I'm not saying Bosh is an elite defensive PF but he's very good defensively for us.
  19. He ran a 4.4 and maybe a 4.39...that's pretty ridiculous.
  20. Nets fans, thoughts on Anthony Morrow's twitter handle? lmao @blackboipachino Jesus that's bad.
  21. 1. Bynum is not some defensive "anchor". He's a good defender. Bosh is a great defensive PF especially further away from the basket and even moreso guarding the pick and roll. I don't think you'll find too many big guys who hedge better than Bosh does. They're different types of defenders but I don't see Bynum as this defensive force you're talking about. 2. Logic will tell you that he shoots a higher % because 99% of his shots come from within 5 feet of the basket. Its not rocket science. Same thing goes for his rebounding for a 7 foot center. 3. Bosh is scoring more and he's playing with LeBron and D Wade, yes I'm definitely going to make that a point in this. Bosh could easily be averaging around 24, 25 points on a team where he's the second option or the leading guy. Not only that, but he's a more versatile offensive player. I don't know how this is even debatable. 4. And lol @ skinny ass. When in doubt, hate on the other player to make your case. I'm completely shocked though, the Laker fans are saying Bynum and the one neutral fan so far is saying Bosh.
  22. Jesus that was bad. No heat though they still won.
  23. Did you read anything in my post aside from Bosh > Bynum? I said there's no way Dwight would ever come here lol. Bosh is a much more versatile offensive player, and yes he does have a post game. Have you ever watched us play? I'm not talking about who has more value. I'm saying who's the better player. And since when does Bosh not play D? Is this some made up thing to boost your argument? I'll never get majority support in this argument because well, this board is like 80% Laker fans and people who most like hate Miami which is fine, but Chris Bosh > Andrew Bynum.
