Just got back from the Arena and while you can't take much from a pre-season game we looked pretty impressive. The defense was great, LeBron's mid-range jumper was money and Bosh looked very good out there. The young guys impressed me the most though. Pittman defended Howard as well as he could and never backed down from him once which was good to see. Terrell Harris and Byars are going to fight it out for that last roster spot too so we'll see. Dwight looked like garbage out there.

Oh I forgot, Kobe is a super human with no emotions or feelings that's right. I'm sure this will somehow motivate him to average 50 a game.

Cole's passing stood out to me a lot in the scrimmage as well. He made a bounce pass through the lane on a fast break that Rio wishes he could connect on. It was great to watch.

Saw him play for the first time last night at the scrimmage and he was by far the most impressive player out there. He honestly reminds me of a young Rondo except he can shoot the ball. He's the perfect compliment to the Big 3. Can't wait to see him on Sunday vs. Orlando.

IMO Gordon is a top 3 SG behind Wade and Kobe by the end of this season. He's only 22 IIRC and hasn't hit his prime yet. I think he's got a shot to be a franchise type of player.

Even if they're picking in the 10-15 range they're going to be getting 2 studs. This draft class is just so nasty, especially now being able to build around Gordon.

The Hornets got a better deal though than in the other trade. Looking back, Stern the owner made the right call for the Hornets. They'll be just as competitive and IMO got better young players in Gordon and Aminu plus a valuable draft pick. It sucks for Laker fans I can imagine but this was definitely a better deal for New Orleans.
