  1. I know that Man. United = 'The Red Devils', been watching them since I was 8. I copied that straight off the Jamaican Olympic page, they must've taken that white jersey for sky blue (at least I did).
  2. Voted RVP. EDIT: My man, why didn't you just edit your original thread and added the poll there? I mean, why having two threads so similar? EPL Goal Of The Week

  11. Players we want back: Chauncey Billups By Kelly Dwyer http://i.imgur.com/Z39KB.png For whatever reason, several of the league's more entertaining players have fallen off in recent years. Be it due to injury, confidence issues, rotation frustrations, a poor fit, or general ennui in a profession that can get tiresome, these players have disappointed of late. For the next few weeks, we're going to take a look at a list of familiar names that haven't produced familiar games over the last few years. Or, at least players that have produced games that we don't want to be in the habit of familiarizing ourselves with. Today, we're looking at Los Angeles Clippers combo guard Chauncey Billups. Chauncey Billups' effectiveness when he returns to the Los Angeles Clippers from an Achilles tear will be closely monitored, and like most things in remarkable career, the judgment stemming from it will probably say quite a bit about how you classify NBA success. If Billups were to return to the sort of form we'd expect from a 36-year old with his history, regardless of last February's tear, the sorts of numbers he'll put up might appear disappointing out of context. So we should give him some room, let Chauncey be Chauncey, and hope for the best. Read More
  12. Serge Ibaka very upset during Olympics, ‘Will not return’ to Spanish team without increased role http://i.imgur.com/HLgBb.png Rising Oklahoma City Thunder star Serge Ibaka entered the 2012 Summer Olympics in London talking a little bit of smack about the big, bad U.S. men's national team, calling his own Spain squad Team USA's equal. It nearly was in the final game of the Olympic tournament, pushing the U.S. for four quarters but ultimately falling seven points short and having to again settle for silver. Ibaka played his best ball of the tournament against the U.S., scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds in just 22 minutes. That "just" appears to have irked Ibaka, though — according to reports emanating from Spain, the 22-year-old big man was very displeased with the way he was used and the lack of floor time he saw during Spain's eight-game run to Silver. According to a translation of a piece by Luis Fernando López of the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Ibaka expressed anger both publicly and privately during the Olympics in a variety of ways: López goes on to say that Ibaka "felt underused and questioned his standing on the team," and that his distance was a response to frustration with the role carved out for him by national team coach Sergio Scariolo, he of the Etch-a-Sketch-style sideline board (which was reportedly produced especially for Scariolo by ERARCO Marketing Solutions in Madrid). Just how upset was Ibaka? "If things continue like this, I will not return," he admitted to close friends before the final. Full Stroy
  13. Brown Embraces Lakers’ Sky-High Hopes http://i.imgur.com/28LKy.png HANG TIME, Texas — You don’t have to warn Mike Brown about expectations next season with the Lakers. This is, after all, the guy who lived with the would-be championship burden of LeBron James sitting on his back in Cleveland. Sure, the Lakers have added Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, among others, to their roster this summer. Sure, he can feel those 16 previous championships staring down from the rafters and the record books. But in an in-depth and quite interesting Q & A with Brian Kamenetzky of ESPNLosAngeles.com’s Land ‘O Lakers blog, the coach says, in short, bring it on: Read More
  14. Robin Lopez ready for new career chapter in New Orleans http://i.imgur.com/orcdn.png Westwego, LA. (AP) -- Robin Lopez always saw himself as a defense-first big man, someone who can grind out low-scoring games. The 7-foot center suspects that's why the Hornets, with defensive-minded coach Monty Williams at the helm, made a trade with the Phoenix Suns for him late last month. "With the exception of Phoenix, in college and high school I always played with low-scoring successful teams," Lopez said on Thursday morning while working out at the Hornets' training center. "That is something I can definitely get accustomed to here." Lopez is currently rehabilitating from an operation earlier this month to repair a torn medial meniscus on the same left knee that has bothered him since early in the 2010-11 season, when he went out for a month after then-Suns teammate Jared Dudley fell and rolled into him. His performance has sagged ever since the injury and last season he fell out of a starting role and averaged 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 14 minutes a game. Other previous injuries during his young career have included a bulging disk in his back and a fractured foot. Full Story
  15. Martell Webster to join Wizards Free-agent swingman Martell Webster has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Washington Wizards, according to sources with knowledge of the deal. ESPN.com reported Wednesday that Webster had auditioned for the Wizards earlier in the week and had Washington on the short list of teams with whom he likely would sign. Released by the Minnesota Timberwolves in July when they were clearing salary-cap space for the ill-fated potential signing of restricted free agent Nicolas Batum, Webster is said to be recovering well from back surgery that preceded his final season with the Wolves. Terms of the deal were not immediately known. Source
  16. Feeling you. Couldn't agree more. He choked in numerous occasions last season. I'm sure he'll get owned each and every time the Clippers face the Lakers. The 2012-'13 season will mark the first time ever that I'll be rooting against a Clipper. And I only did that Olympic Stat Tracker 'cause he was the only Clipper in London (excl. Ronny). Paul is becoming one of my most hated players... <_<
