Loved reading "The Last Season" by Phil Jackson, "The Jordan Rules" by Sam Smith, and "7 Second or Less" by Jack McCallum. All very interesting, especially "The Jordan Rules."
Those three books just sound sick. I never read a book ever but I might have to go buy those. Especially 7 Seconds or Less, i've been wanting to read that for years now just never took the time to buy it.

I don't see how this move makes sense for Wallace. It's not like he's been in Detroit his whole career and just wants to finish it out. He left town for money, why not leave for a chance at a ring?

This would be the perfect situation for McGrady. He doesn't have to come in and have the spotlight on him like he did in NY. He's going to be just another piece to the puzzle in Chicago. If the old McGrady decides to show up, giving he's not the same player but I believe he still has some left, the Bulls could be a very very hard team to beat.

Haha I know how you feel. I always still wear my Kenyon jersey but I don't even know where my Kidd one is. It's sad that we had to be bought by cheap owners at the time because even with his injuries, I'd still wish we had resigned him rather than watching Kidd's last good years with Vince Carter and a bunch of 32 year old veterans.
I remember the day they traded him away, it was probably the saddest day of my life at the time lol. I have like 3 different Martin jerseys still in my closest that don't even fit anymore. I also have a Kidd 2003 NBA finals jersey white on one side gold on the back. I'll probably never find a jersey I love more then that. If only Prokhorov was around earlier -_-

lets be real, games are won with a team effort not a star player. I dont care if the US has 10 star players if they cant play well together they wont do good.
The only game that they have to play well together is against Spain. They can beat everyone else with talent alone.

Needs to sign a one year contract with LA, win a ring and get out of the league.
That will never happen but I really wish it would. One hell of a way to go out. But I think joining Boston would be a bad idea...for Boston. They are set at the position and even if they need someone to fill in for Perkins in the beginning of the season their are other options out there that don't demand the attention and distraction Shaq would bring. I'm a huge Shaq fan but I just wouldn't see this working out.

Yeah GMJ did a great job with that video. I wish there was another Kenyon Martin in this league because even Kenyon isn't Kenyon anymore. I miss the old NBA with rivalaries and fire.
I said the same thing to my friend the other day. I feel like I was so more into the games back then then I am now. Kenyon used to be my favorite player I was basically obsessed with him. All the flagrant 2s he used to get and just not care. He's never been the same since he left Jersey.

I think the best teams do it in both ways. It's good to build around young guys and add pieces through free agency. That's the way I would go if I was a GM. If I had to pick one way I would pick the draft. I wouldn't want to rely on convincing players to come join my team with all the other teams basically doing the same thing. If you have a team in the making through young talent and role players, it makes it a lot easier to add that last thing you need to become a elite team from free agency.

I havn't even heard his name since he left the Nets until reading this topic haha. He always was a good defender and that never hurts to have especially for cheap. He's not a bad extra body to have on the bench in desperate times.

I just saw it with a bunch of my friends, everyone loved it. I would definitely recommend going to see it. It's very complex as people have said before, but a amazing movie overall. The ending was kind of predictable but still loved it.

My bad for not giving you props for it im not trying to steal it or anything. I just searched for a Steve Nash sig in the graphics forum and I liked that one. And I used to be jkidd51524 I dont know if that rings a bell with anyone. I used to be immature but I have changed a lot now. I'm much older and follow the game a lot more now. I'm excited to be part of the site again

Favorite Nets Moment: Watching them against Shaq and Kobe in their first finals.
Amount of Nets Games Attended: I've been to a lot. I had season tickets when Jason Kidd came for about 4 years.
