The Rent Is Too Damn High Party got about 6000 votes

Hoping the Dems can at least hold on to the Senate. It really doesn't help anything get accomplished if the Republicans hold the House/Senate and we have a Democratic President. It is interesting that after tonight, the Republican party in Colorado could no longer be a recognized party I'm keeping an eye on the FL Governor race. Very close right now. Hopefully Sharon Angle does not win in Nevada

Do You Ever Get Mad At Your Teams' Fan Base?
Lkr replied to The Lone Granger's topic in General NBA Discussion
A lot of the REALLY active Lakers fans here that have been around for a while were around during the mediocre era, which makes it interesting. We really don't have an abundance of Lakers frontrunners here, which is interesting considering the past three seasons. The frontrunning Lakers fans get VERY annoying and VERY fast. -

Just curious, but if LSU beats Bama, other things happen, and LSU wins the sec, do you want them in the title game ahead of an undefeated Boise St or the winner of the Utah/TCU matchup?
-
What kills USC, especially in 08, is the media perception of the PAC10. Big 12 and SEC teams are allowed to lose conference games at home, but SC isn't allowed to lose to a conference team on the road. Even more puzzling is that Oregon St was in line to play in the Rose Bowl until blowing it against Oregon in the last week. I definitely think SC deserved a slot in the title game ahead of OU(lost to Texas, both had a similar record, which is still confusing) and UF who lost at home to Mississippi. This same perception hurts these non AQ teams. I think you have to give the best one an opportunity in a title game. If they lose, never again. If they win, we might finally kill the BCS
-
I don't worry about it because a 1 loss SEC team would jump them. If Alabama wins out(meaning Auburn loses) they will be either 1 or 2 depending on what Oregon does. If Oregon loses, expect a one loss Big Ten or Big 12 champion to jump them(Wisconsin, OSU, Nebraska, OU). Hell, even your hated LSU team could play for the title if they win out! Stanford isn't likely as they got wolloped by Oregon. Even a two loss SEC team would probably go ahead of anyone else(it's happened before, unfortunately)

I didn't mention the ACC. The irony still relates to you talking [expletive] about the Big East though. BC was ranked that season. My jab about Miami/OSU is about how you're a hypocrite. OSU is an elite team but has a less impressive resume thus far than Boise St. I dont care about the James Madison upset, VT is better than Miami. Whenever somethig is proved on the field, why do you always make excuses? The fact is that Pitt was a ranked team from a real conference and lost. Oklahoma was a very good team, won the Big 12, was obviously ranked, and LOST. Alabama was the second best team in the country(sorry, but they were a better team than anyone who would have played Florida). They lost to Utah. Quit trying to put a spin on it.
