  1. Didn't thy run the same play last season? It stands!
  2. wow the game was on TV? had no idea, I missed a good one
  3. the new health care package isn't even close to socialism. go learn something about socialism and then I dare you to call the new package socialist. I love how people act like socialism is such a bad thing, when the US isn't a top nation in standard of living for a reason and the top nations are socialist. Let women get abortions if they want. Legalize gay marriage Improve education and living conditions in low income areas There is a reason the housing market happened during a republican regime, and it was because of the decrease in regulations. Capitalist markets suck in this day and age, and that is why the US is losing ground as a top nation.
  4. I think Auburn might be the best SEC team right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if they finished the season with 2 or 3 losses.
  5. This game doesn't even matter. If Alabama goes undefeated for the rest of the season and wins the SEC title, they will make the national championship game over any other undefeated team(unless they are from the SEC, which isn't possible at this point)
  6. http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=138581 This is so stupid, why would you even ask such a retarded question? Hell, why did they even interview Peter Moore on a "news" channel?
  7. What's funny about the Jags is there are a lot of people that support them, the organization is just too hard to support. The tickets are insanely over priced for the product that they are putting out there every week. They are trying to sell ticket packages, but for the same price as season tickets for one in the nosebleeds, you can get Sunday Ticket and watch everything with the whole house! People I know in the Jacksonville area that are from the area love the team, they just can't afford what is being asked and for the little return value that is given. The community puts up with this crappy team that the organization doesn't seem to feel like improving, so they just simply aren't going to pay a high price to go watch a team get blown out. Rays fans on the other hand have no excuse. Tickets are pretty much free(didn't they give seats away on the last day of the season and still have problems?) and they still can't sell out. The team won the division and went to the World Series two years ago. They even have problems selling out when the Red Sox and Yankees visit(shouldn't the bandwagoners be going to these games? I know there are plenty of them here in Florida). Interestingly enough, part of the problem is the location of the stadium. It isn't in Tampa, it is in the middle of nowhere, with nothing near it. If you are a tourist in Orlando, there is no reason at all to make a trip to see a baseball game when you have to drive to the middle of nowhere. If they actually put the stadium in Tampa, there would probably be more support(just a guess though, I mean, just look at the Marlins). It would also be nice to have a real baseball stadium for fans to go to. Starting home playoff games on the east coast at 1:30 and 2:30 is just mind boggling as well. I guess the MLB knows that this series isn't going to bringing in viewers like the Phillies, Yankees, Giants, and Braves do(and that series is the only one that started on the west coast too, so that helps the MLB out with primetime viewership on the west coast). Back to the actual game this afternoon, I could honestly see the Rays win it and come back in this series. It is too much to count them out when all they need to do is win 3 in a row. Obviously it would be hard to do it when you have to see Cliff Lee again, but don't count them out at this point. I am not entirely surprised to see the Rangers with a chance to win the series, but I am extremely surprised with the stranglehold they have on the Rays(and the fact that they have just flat out dominated them in every phase of the game).
  8. i love when espn has to report 'the website named deadspin.com'. they make fun of espn all day on that site, its great to have to tell your viewers to check it out
  9. Funny that the stuff deadspin gossips about ends up being true
  10. you must have missed his sarcasm because of the context of the play being discussed in the interview
  11. if the Braves don't score here, would you dare pull Lincecum and leave it to the bullpen?
  12. i'm not sure if it was a blown save or not, but i'm pretty sure he had at least a loss.
  13. Closer is the most overrated position in baseball. For all you know, you might have won the 2001 and 2003 World Series as well as the 2004 ALCS without Rivera blowing saves in those series as well. Jeter is much more valuable to the team over the past 15 years.
  14. its cause there was no reason to have an Angels thread this season since the team didn't deserve one
