He said this was his first actual sig attempt. And it's a bit better than my first sig. As for pointers, try to blend your renders in more. Try to make them fit in with the background, instead of just slapping them on. As for text, that's probably the hardest part to get right in making a sig, at least it was for me. Just mess around with different fonts to see what looks best. And download some fonts.
