The Regime Posted May 1, 2010 Report Share Posted May 1, 2010 As the Nuggets saw their season come to a close on Friday night, guard J.R. Smith was seen pouting near the end of the team's bench. Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post called it, "another display of no regard to authority that has peppered Smith's time in Denver..." Smith didn't join his teammates during huddles or even respond when teammates or coaches tried to engage him. "I'm not really sure," he said asked why he acted that way. Asked what frustrated him that much, Smith said, "The whole game, pretty much." Acting coach Adrian Dantley said he was unaware of Smith's actions. "I didn't see what happened with J.R.," Dantley said. "He didn't get in an argument with me." Still, Smith said after Denver was eliminated by Utah that he wants to remain with the Nuggets. "Yeah," the guard said.
