Who's going to be willing to pay him the max, if anybody? If the Hawks continue to win this Game 7 currently on, it won't be because of Johnson that they won. He had some solid games already in the playoffs so I don't think one game will affect him too much (especially if the Hawks advance to rd 2). He had some really good games against us. Just because he's out of his groove today doesn't mean you can say his stock will drop. fish7718 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Share Posted May 3, 2010 I think it has but only because of the guys he's going up against in FA. Not improving his status here is a failure IMO. If he can prove he is leader and can lead a team he will surely gain a max contract, even if he just beat the Bucks quicker and had the same stats his stock would have stayed the same or gone up. The fact that series went 7 games without Bogut has to be concerning to GM's who were planning on picking him up to be the franchise player of their team.
