Anthony was due to earn $885,120 next season if he had exercised the opt-in. ``I still want to come back to Miami,'' he said. ``They have shown interest, but we just have to see how it works out.'' But for the Heat to retain the right to match any offer, it would need to extend him a $1 million qualifying offer. And until Anthony accepted that offer, he would count $1.16 million against the cap. The Heat declined to say whether Anthony, 27, will be extended a qualifying offer.Read More I know this isn't exactly breaking news, but it's at least worth noting that the Heat's back up C is about to make free agency slightly more difficult for Riles. After seeing Daequan Cook's contract of just 2M sent away including a much higher draft pick than the one the Heat used on Dexter Pittman, even the smallest contract offer for Joel Anthony Riley may not want to match it. It seems to me like Joel might not return for next year. At least the Heat have Pittman to replace him now, and hopefully either the Heat sign a good FA center like Brendan Haywood or they at least get Jermaine O'Neal back for extra cheap.
