The Mavericks plan to try to land a top free agent next month, but first they'll deal with re-signing All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki.

Dallas doesn't have the cap room to sign a max-level free agent outright, but they could work a sign-and-trade with a player's current team.

The Mavericks have their future first-round draft picks and contracts that can be used in such a deal.--Dallas Morning News

im pretty sure dirk will resign. atleast i hope so lol.

Yep hopefully he comes back. If he doesn't he'll go to the Suns.

If you don't know already, but I'm a die hard Mavs fan.

I have season tickets and watch every game.

I just choose not to display my team for posting purposes.

I don't wanna sounds biased.

Isn't landing a top free agent supposed to be what lures him back though?
