Ryan Grant out for the season

After the first week of the regular season, we already have our first major injury to a No. 1 running back. Ryan Grant of the Packers suffered a sprained ankle in the first half of their opener against Philadelphia and did not return. With good reason.

Fox Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that Grant's ankle and leg injuries are severe enough that he'll miss the rest of the season. Glazer says Grant suffered a high ankle sprain that also resulted in a fracture near his knee. Hopefully, fantasy owners who were counting on Grant to carry the load at running back also grabbed backup Brandon Jackson -- who rushed for 63 yards on 18 carries and also caught two passes for 12 yards.

Although the Packers will certainly look to pick up a free agent for added depth, Jackson figures to get the bulk of the workload the rest of the way. However, he may not get those precious red-zone touches. Fullback John Kuhn had Green Bay's only rushing touchdown on Sunday, a three-yard run in the third quarter.

As the starter in one of the most powerful offenses in the NFL, Jackson gets a major boost in fantasy value, especially since the Packers don't have a proven backup for him on the roster right now.

Marshawn Lynch comes almost immediately to mind.

Well, he and Rodgers are familiar with one another from back when they played at Cal albeit for a year so it makes sense. His value is at an all time low too. [expletive], let's do it lol.

Wow, good thing I traded him to ChosenOne. :)

[expletive] you!

[expletive] [expletive] ChosenOne just offered me Grant and Mike Wallace for Roddy White and Shonn Greene... LOL

 it was worth a try.

What a [expletive] move by ChoseneOne

There are not [expletive] moves in Fantasy Football, you gotta know your [expletive] or you will get owned. :)
