Kidd Expected To Have Several Suitors

Recommended Posts

The Mavericks want to re-sign Jason Kidd, but several teams are expected to make a play for the point guard.

Free agency officially opens on Wednesday, and the Cavaliers, Trail Blazers, Celtics, Knicks, and possibly even the Lakers are expected to show interest.

New York can only offer the mid-level exception, worth between $5 and $6 million, while Portland is the only one of the aforementioned clubs with sizable cap room.

Dallas has maintained that re-signing Kidd is a priority.

JJ Barea is a good young talent. I want to see his progress, because he might end up like a Devin Harris if he doesn't get his chance in Dallas. He might get traded or sign with a different team and become an all-star... well maybeee

If Kidd is really after a ring he will leave Dallas and go to Portland, L.A., Cleveland or the Celtics.

L.A. actually really need to push for Kidd, they could be a wrap for the finals with him, why not secure your spot in the finals next season while other teams like SA and Orlando make big moves and secure theirs??????
