So happy for Dirk, for Kidd, for them all. And happy to see some fans who actually deserve a title, rather than the majority of the Heat 'fans'. On one of Dirk's clinching jumpers, I nearly hit my head on the ceiling, I jumped so high, haha. Funny enough, I wanted Portland, LA and OKC to sweep you guys. Multi-Billionaire Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 I'd never felt anything for Mavs until these Finals... it seemed like they had never been a threat big enough to annoy me as a different team's fan, bad ass enough to be hated, or exciting enough to be loved. But somehow their ball movement, their defense, their "team-ness" (George Karl's phrase), Kidd, Dirk, Carlisle being able to get his rooks-scrubs-complete washouts like Cardinal, Mahimi, Marion, Stevenson to perform ridiculously in the NBA's ultimate stage (that alone should have given him COY), had me sub-consciously rooting for them.
