I was about to ask -- which MLS team you rooting for?

Well I never watch any games, but if I were to it would probably the New York Red Bulls (Thierry Henry) or the Los Angeles Galaxy (David Beckham and Landon Donovan).

I know there has been many rumors regarding expansion into the South sometime in the future so maybe then I'll start following.

Saw this on a soccer forum:

Two guys at various times at work approached me as I was watching the game and both convos went like this:

Guy: is this the championship?

Me: no

Guy: is this a preseason game?

Me: no, regular season game

Guy: Galaxy are really good right?

Me: no

Guy: aren't they in 1st place?

Me: last

Guy: oh

Looks like the MLS is set on bringing its 20th team to New York City after it released plans to build a soccer-specific stadium in Queens.

So much for the South getting a team anytime soon. :(

Game is over man. The MLS All-Stars won 3-2.

In other words, MLS > All of Europe. :glasses:

That's a bit of an overstatement... Anyway - Signed, sealed, delivered.

Tim Cahill joins the New York Red Bulls.

I was clearly joking as the MLS All-Star is meaningless, but seeing as Chelsea is about halfway through their preseason they were closer to full strength on the backline then they had been in previous games. While I have little interest in the MLS, mainly because I have no local/regional team to root for, I'm sure MLS fans enjoyed the game last night.
