New Jersey at Cleveland

Real Deal

Huge win...the bench was great again, Boobie had 19 including 5 threes, and Gee continues his improvement. Thompson had some great blocks, but needs to improve his free throw shooting.

Jamison had his best game of the year with 23, and Varejao and Irving were solid.

Didn't think this would happen, but we have so much depth. At any night. Gee, Sessions, Boobie, Thompson, or Samuels can score in double figures off the bench.

At 2-2, our next three opponents are Charlotte, Toronto, and Minnesota. Very good chance to improve our record, and I hope they take advantage.

New Jersey is bad.... Really bad.

Williams is turning the ball over like crazy, shooting terribly from the floor and looks like complete garbage to start the year. Some of that can be placed on him having absolutely nobody to play with, but part of it has to fall on his shoulders as well because, poor team or not, he has sucked.

Outside of Williams, it is obvious just how terrible this team is.

They are completely screwed if they don't get Dwight, whether by trade or via free agency, because if they don't get him I see no way that Williams sticks around and they are in an absolutely terrible position. These last two seasons would've been a complete and utter waste in every sense possible.

D-Will and a bunch of average to below-average role players...not going to win very many games with that.

This is the problem with trying to land the big free agents. Teams are now willing to shatter their entire roster, instead of having the best seasons possible, making due with what they have, and going about building a complete team through free agency, draft, AND trades.

The owners have been bitching about how the money is spent, where it's at, and sales going down...but it's all on their shoulders. They put themselves in this situation. to where they have to overpay for players to fill out their roster and make them look decent enough for fans to come and watch. It's the owners having to find that middle ground...suck quite a bit, but not too much, yet try and look like a good franchise that's dedicated to winning (to attract very good players).

Just play the game, make due with what you have, and spend your money wisely. Bring in excellent scouts, international scouts, very good assistant coaches, and instead of trading all of your picks for washed-up scorers, use them to bring in fresh, young talent.

Blah...done with the rant.
