Improved Hawes due to Shawn Kemp?

Philadelphia 76ers center Spencer Hawes? He's really improved. Really, really improved. If he isn't the NBA's most improved player (not the award, just the designation) in 2011-12, then he's close. And he may have former Seattle SuperSonics superstar Shawn Kemp to thank.

Hawes, whose game reminds of Kemp's in ways you might not anticipate nor remember, apparently worked out with Kemp over the extended offseason. Hawes grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where Kemp still resides, and the former All-Star apparently was more than keen to bestow a bit of this and that on the 76ers big man.

Philly has a lot of interesting pieces... With all that young talent would you be opposed to trading Iggy for a budding young star with major upside and continue adding pieces around that guy for the futre via the draft or free agency?

I depends, Iggy is finally starting to play the role he was meant for.

That is not thinking he is the superstar taking every shot that comes his way.

He is getting a lot of praise for his current change of play in Philly this season.

This team has loads of young talent and they continue to develop and get better and as a fan that’s what you expect and this team and the coaching staff has done that. They just need to continue to develop their young players and add through free agency and the 76ers should be solid for years to come.
