Issues with D Wade so far this year

Found this rant on another board but I agree with almost all of it. The guy is still my favorite player ever but he needs to make some adjustments even after the good game he had last night.

For all this shit we hear about his defense, it comes outside the system (sometimes good, sometimes bad). His specialty is gambling and helping off the ball but on the ball, the foundation for any defensive set, is lazy. He exposes our rotations by getting himself out of position and sometimes providing unnecessary help.

His shot selection with a lead, for a player with the in-game IQ he possesses, is pretty awful. We build these leads with a system, with a gameplan, then all of a sudden it's time to jack up shots and hopefully get my 30.

His playing the facilitator role needs to be reduced, BIGTIME. Not for nothing, what is he currently doing for our players in a halfcourt set? Lebron hits Bosh in his sweet spots, does the same for Rio, U and JJ. Wade, not so much. The team looks skiddish/sloppy with him at the helm at the balance of the team suffers for it.

I'm talking about 2011-12 Wade, not '09 Wade, where he was a constant threat for a triple-double. His handle has weakened and gambles too much. Guess what? We don't need to gamble, it ain't Q and Beasley on the wings, it's real pros. Our 5 should beat any other 5.

Lebron needs to take this squad over, PERIOD. Wade needs to adjust to that, not the other way around. For christ sake Lebron barely touched it in the 4th, HE'S THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD BY A WIDE MARGIN, just crazy.

LeBron passed up shots in the 4th, and by the time he decided to play hero and win the game, he bricked two big shots.

Sounds like the poster wants LeBron to play the way he did in Cleveland, but that will take him right out of the post. Whatever, though.

LeBron needs to be in the post in the fourth, Bosh around the frethrow li=ne an everyone spread out and let D-Wade create. He imo makes highest percentage plays in the fourth.

He's played what, 7 games this year? And he's been injured for like half of them?

There's no issues with him as long as he's at roughly 90% health. He's still an exceptional, efficient scorer, very good passer, very good rebounder for his position, and one of the best defenders in the league. He is not perfect, and sometimes his flaws get exposed (considering he plays a similar brand of ball to LeBron, it is more obvious than it normally would be), but he is still a top 4 players at the absolute worst.

Oh, as for his gambling and over-help defensively, that is something the entire team has an issue with. It helps them create turnovers and usually completely shuts down the other team from scoring at the rim on the first attempt, but it does open up the 3pt line and the offensive glass, and that was exposed in the Finals against Dallas. But when Wade needs to play tight man defense with minimal help, he does it, as seen with his defense against Ray Allen in the EC Semi's last year.
