:( I don't think it's really gonna hit me until we are out there and he isn't although that wasn't all uncommon in his days as a Met so I guess it won't hit me until I see him playing for the [expletive]ing Marlins of all teams...

In other news Wilpon plans on owning the team for a very long time

2040 maybe our year?

Well, this is odd. A limo with license plate “OWNR4EVA” just rolled into Mets’ complex with stereo blaring ODB’s “Baby I Got Your Money.”

I hate you

of course they're to troll, but it isn't like they're based on current events. they don't even just make fun of the mest

I hate you more

Hows Daniel Murphy gonna do this year? Hes starting for my fantasy team

He could have competed with Reyes for the batting title last year if he didn't break his leg. I've never been a huge fan of Murph but he had a solid spring and he is going to be a big part of this line up,so big that they are going to put him on the field wherever they can besides 1B and 3B. I'm excited for Murph he should be a solid player, in terms fantasy, he will hit for a good AVG but runs HR's and RBI's won't be there.

Anyways, Santana opening day starter, great news, aside from the fact that he hasn't pitched since 2010 Santana has been a stud whenever he's took the mound for us, can't wait to see him out there again :)

Eat it Cobb, eat it like corn you bitch

:)

I know we suck but I'll enjoy this season and Santana for as long as I can

As for the game itself, very encouraging to see Santana pitch like that, mid 90's fastball or not Johan is still Johan Santana, hopefully we can keep him healthy. Bullpen was fantastic, Byrdak player of the game for his strikeout on Costanza (lol) always laugh at that name. 0-11 from 4-6 hitters won't cut it but Venters and Hanson are a tough combo to face I suppose. Fun game to watch us win, will be interesting to see who will be called up to replace Torres...

Santana!!! Who have thought he would looking like an ace again so soon? That 13 mph difference on his pitches is filthy.

As for Reyes, the 'honoring' really wasn't that big of a deal, they showed a 1 minute video that ended with "thanks for the memories" no problem with it, classy move. I didn't boo him but he certainly did get boo'd more than cheered, and I understand the fans reasoning for booing him and I won't argue that they are wrong for doing it. I cheered. Great game, had an awesome time. Sat in left field and chanted "Looooogannnnn" all game haha, not to mention it was some dudes birthday in our section so every time a vendor would come over the whole crowd would start chanting "give him a beer" "give him a hot dog" etc. all we got for him was a cotton candy but it was a great time. Love going to Mets game especially when we pull out gritty close wins like we did tonight!

Marlins now tied with us, bullpen really killing 5.13 ERA, obviously a big reason as to why we won't compete, I like the signings in our pen but it's still not a good pen. Team is too young, regardless, I like what I've seen...we play gritty grind it out baseball. If anything the biggest problem I've had so far is Terry Collins, he makes moves that just don't make sense, for instance tonight Parnell finished the 7th inning and instead of leaving him in to face the next batter in the 8th and bringing in byrdak to get Votto and finishing with Francisco, he brings in Rauch and leaves him in to face Votto, ended up killing, there are more moves I can point too, I love the identity he has brought to the team, just suffers from lack of experience...
