Nenê hasn't played for Brazil since 2007.

SÃO PAULO -- Brazil's men's basketball team will be led by NBA players Nenê Hilário, Leandro Barbosa, Tiago Splitter and Anderson Varejão when it returns to the Olympics for the first time in 16 years.

The four players were included on the list of 15 by coach Ruben Magnano on Thursday. Also included was American point guard Larry Taylor, who recently earned Brazilian citizenship. Back in Brazil's lineup is the Wizards Nenê who last played for Brazil in the 2007 FIBA Americas tournament held in Las Vegas. At that point it was the first time in four years he agreed to play for the team due to reported monetary dispute among other issues. Nenê injured his calf in that tournament. He did not play in the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Nenê also missed the FIBA Americas Championship in Puerto Rico, where Brazil won the gold medal.

Only 12 players will make it to London, but Taylor and the four NBA players likely will be on the team because Magnano's list included two players who are there only to gain experience in practice and one other who has a knee injury and is not expected to recover in time. Brazil's men last competed in the Olympics in 1996, reaching the quarterfinals in Atlanta.
