Complete list of measurements:

I'll edit it into a table and edit it into my first post later, but for now if you want to see anything just use that link.

Waiters is only 6'2. Another reason I'm not interested. Austin Rivers isn't 6'5 like the rumors said unfortunately, only 6'3.

In regards to Waiters:

B. Colangelo on Waiters stuff: "His agent has told me there's a promise to another team. Regardless, if he's on the board he's in our mix."

Sullinger measuring like that has gotta do a ton for his draft stock. I think there is a definite place for a guy like him in the league, even though I don't want the Raptors to take him. Drummond's measurements are incredible, honestly I think the Wizards should give him a good hard look at the 3 spot.

It is still basketball, no? Does him coming off the bench make him any less talented as a player?

It certainly makes him a more unknown prospect that's for sure.

Boeheim had two veteran guards on his team and both were returning from a very successfull season where they finished as a 3rd seed in the NCAA Tournament. He didn't want to mess with that chemistry and, thus, Waiters came off the bench.

It is not a testament to his talent. He was clearly better than both Jardine or Triche but if is isn't broke, why fix it?

That's simply not true. He struggled heavily in the halfcourt, and was better off as a sixth man where he could push the tempo and be more of a spark plug. When team's really packed the paint, he struggled to produce. He won't overpower SG's at the next level, which may force team's to play him more at the 1, which we all know is not his strength.

I'd love him coming off the bench for my team, but I don't think he will be a starter in this league.

Of the middle of the pack prospects, who can you definitively say is the better prospect than Waiters to the point where it would be absolutely foolish to draft Waiters over them? Obviously we aren't including guys like Davis, MKG, Robinson, Beal and Barnes.

I think it would be foolish to draft him over Drummond, Lamb, Lillard, Henson, PJ3, Sullinger, Zeller, and Ross. So I guess I'll slot him right at 14, which is a little higher than I had previously stated. Again though, those aforementioned players are the one's I believe are clearly better prospects than Waiters.

I'm not saying he is a sure thing or anything like that, but he is certainly worth discussing in that range as far as I am concerned. I wouldn't put him in that first tier of players, but he definitely fits in the second tier with guys like Lamb (debatable if he should be in the 1st tier), Rivers, PJ3, Zeller, Henson, Sullinger, Lillard and Marshall.

See, the thing is, with those prospects you mentioned (with the exception of Jones), they all have an established position in the NBA. Can we really say the same about Waiters?

I really think it's a two man race between Beal and Robinson for the Wizards. If Drummond was more polished, he'd be in the mix, but with Nene and Seraphin locking up the 5 spots, there's really no need for him.

Thomas Robinson measured out very well, and even recorded a 35.5 inch vertical, the same as Blake Griffin's. He's going to be a rebounding machine in the NBA.

That speculation was correct. He is 6'5" in shoes. Considering basketball is played in shoes, that holds more weight than the measurements without, unless the player is gaining 2" or something. I know some people wear ridiculous shoes to inflate their height, but Rivers gaining an inch and half isn't really out of the ordinary.

Waiters being 6'4" in shoes isn't really that big of a deal as well. 6'4" with a 6'7.25" isn't bad for a shooting guard. It isn't great, but it certainly doesn't make him undersized to the point where it should be a concern.

PS: ABL, I would respond to your post but there really is no point. It is clear that we have vastly different views on Waiters' role on that Syracuse team and there is no point going in circles, which we would be doing if I responded to your post. Lets just leave it we both think each other is wrong about his role on that team.

Amen :)

Is anyone else concerned about Austin Rivers? His height favors his draft stock (6'5 in shoes), but his vertical jump is only 31 inches, while his wingspan is 6'7. We all know about his average athleticism, but those numbers are pretty bad for an attacking guard.

PJ3 really is a freak.

If he puts it all together he easily becomes the best player in this draft. Too bad the chances of that happening are microscopic.

That tripped me out when I first watched it because when i first went to it it was the part where it was like rewinding his jump

Lamb acknowledged that teams want to see his "motor" and whether he can stand up to NBA contact, and he didn't help himself by failing to shoot well during drills. Another strike against him for Portland came during a media interview -- when asked whether he knew "anything about" the Blazers, he struggled to name LaMarcus Aldridge, then said he knew of "the light-skinned dude," who turned out to be Nicolas Batum.

Don't think BC will pick a player who has a suspect attitude. I think BC puts more stock into that than most. In a draft like this you can afford to take a pass on a guy like him when there are guys like Sullinger, PJ3, etc pretty likely to be on the board.

I hope so.
