Things started to heat up yesterday as the Yankees acquired Ichiro Suzuki and the Marlins dealt Aníbal Sánchez and Omar Infante to the Tigers for prospects that included Jacob Turner. 12:43 PM: Dempster doesn’t want to be traded to the Braves, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports. Instead, the right-hander hopes to be dealt to the Dodgers. Was kind of excited when I first heard the news, but now I could care less what happens as it appears he isn't interested in playing Atlanta. Wake up this morning to find out that the Dodgers have traded for Hanley Ramírez and that Cole Hamels signed a 6-year, $144 million contract extension with the Phillies.
