The Regime
Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Friday that the best-case scenario for forward Ron Artest would be a return to the court on Tuesday against the Rockets. Artest continues to experience dizziness as a result of a concussion he sustained while falling down the stairs at his home on Christmas night. He has missed four consecutive games, in which the Lakers are 3-1. http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63780/20100102/artest_could_return_tuesday/
Warren2ThaG
Lets experiment Artest off the bench... ^_^
kingfish
Another revenge game for us. Dont forget wat happen last year in game 7. This gonna be another blowout, bench goes crazy again.
Warren2ThaG
Another revenge game for us. Dont forget wat happen last year in game 7. This gonna be another blowout, bench goes crazy again. Can't be a blowout, Gasol won't play.
The Regime
Houston always puts up a good fight, we'll win this by single digits.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 4, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 4, 2010 Can't be a blowout, Gasol won't play.Yeah, but Bynum will. That's just it. Drew only plays when Gasol isn't on the floor, just like he did versus Dallas. If we ever got the two bigs on the same page, we'd be unstoppable. ChosenOne
We are going to be ahead all game but in the 4th the Lakers will turn it on and make this one close. Ariza hits the game winning shot!
Owner Real Deal Posted January 5, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 5, 2010 Ron is playing tonight, not sure if Gasol is or not (probably not).
Kobe24
We'll if we go by how long he was out from the last hamstring injury, he probably wont be playing tonight. I thought it was interesting to see that Jackson said Gasol told him his leg was feeling kind of tight before the game. They need to pay more attention to that to prevent these types of injuries. Either way, I believe this will be a win because our bench might have finally realized that they are needed for us to play with the top teams in the league. That and Artest is back -_-
Dash
We beat you guys on your home floor before, don't be surprised if we do it again.
Laker Girl
Ron is playing tonight, not sure if Gasol is or not (probably not). Odom might not play either I read somewhere he didn't practice yesterday due to a stomach ailment. So we're already gonna be undermanned but if the bench steps up again it won't be that much of an issue.
The Regime
Regardless we should still win this game with ease. Edited January 6, 2010 by Confidence
Dash
Regardless we should still win this game with ease. Really? I seem to recall the Rockets giving LA some trouble this season AND in the playoffs.
Warren2ThaG
Regardless we should still win this game with ease. lol wow, we might have to come from behind like tha SAC game, stop being overconfident.
Lemon
Dash is just pointing out the facts. I expect Ariza to have a good game, but I still think Lakers' redemption will prevail tonight.
Vitasoy
I'm glad the offense sort of picked up in the last 5 minutes of the second quarter. I was falling asleep.
Warren2ThaG
we lead by 6 in the 3rd, we'll win by 12.
kingfish
Rockets play hard, they only beat us when we dont try. What happens when we do try? We blow them out by 40 + (like games 5 and 7 last year) or just stifle them on defense holding them to 79 points.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 Kobe has a bad game, the Lakers have a bad game.
GamerGuy
Kobe has a bad game, the Lakers have a bad game.Yeah, nobody really played well except for Odom. Maybe he needs to get the stomach flu more often, he certainly didn't seem affected by it.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 6, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 We were running them off the three pretty well, but they just kept getting too many easy looks inside. Plus, our biggest problem was our turnovers. Stupid turnovers, at that. Bad game for us.
ChosenOne
You guys always have a bad game agaist us, at least we kept it close unlike the Mavs. Why does Bynum only play well when Gasol is out?
Owner Real Deal Posted January 7, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted January 7, 2010 You guys always have a bad game agaist us, at least we kept it close unlike the Mavs.Well, I want to see what we do if we have Gasol in there. I don't think we've had Gasol playing in the three meetings we've had with Houston already. Why does Bynum only play well when Gasol is out?Because he's a big baby and doesn't want to play if he doesn't get enough shots.
