Los Angeles Lakers superstar talked to CNN Turk reporter Barbaros Tapan, you can find his statements about his future plans and his flirt with Turkish team Besiktas last season during the lock-out. “My aim is to play until I’m 40 years old and I believe I can do that. This year, we added very good players to our squad. Steve Nash, Dwight Howard will make us stronger. Right now, things are not going very well but I believe it’ll get better soon.” TrendBasket

Told you guys. He will retire when he physically cannot step on the floor anymore. It is going to be interesting when the inevitable Peyton situation arises. Eventually he isn't going to be a star anymore, but he is going to still want to be the man. LA owes it to him to keep him as long as he wants to keep playing, but so did Indy.

That's a lot more seasons. If he had someone like CP3/Lebron who's young and could carry the offense then maybe he could mimic Kareem's longevity, but nash is old and getting CP3 or Lebron now would be a long shot (though it was so damn close).
