The Milwaukee Bucks and coach Scott Skiles have decided to part ways, according to a report by USA Today.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting Bucks' assistant Jim Boylan will take over as head coach on an interim basis.

Skiles posted a record of 162-182 since becoming the team's coach for the 2008-09 season, reaching the playoffs just once in four years.

This season the Bucks stand at 16-16 and have currently lost four straight games.

Overall, Skiles has a career coaching mark of 443-433 in 13 seasons with the Suns, Bulls and Bucks.

Guess that .500 record was a bit too disappointing for the Bucks? They just fired a decent defensive coach.

Mutual agreement. He hated the current team and most of the players on the team disliked him as well.

He is a good defensive minded coach but that's not what this young athletic team needs or wants. They want to be able to push the tempo and score fast points, which is something Skiles didn't try to do. He also wasn't exactly willing to test out the young guys or give them more opportunities.

Henson scored 18 points to go along with 17 boards about a month ago... the following game Skiles played him a dumbfounding 1 minute.

No wonder the team didn't like him. Fans around here aren't exactly upset either. Most (including myself) are hoping Hammond is gone next as well as his buddy Drew Gooden.
