But many other guys in the NBA are now getting max contracts and not all of them are worthy of it. This had to be done after Lacob, Myers held onto Klay in deals for Kevin Love. I believe Thompson is a top 5 shooting guard in the NBA. He is one of the few guys in the league that can hold a guy from scoring 20 while dropping 20 himself. And with the lack of great two way shooting guards in the league, as well as his chemistry with Curry, I think it's a pretty fair deal. GS is looking like a major contender..
