Owner Real Deal Posted February 2, 2015 Owner Report Share Posted February 2, 2015 I read on Twitter that the players were running up the field, after the Kearse catch, yelling for Beast Mode...knowing he was going to have 2-3 chances to pound the ball in from the one. About 99.9% of the time, you can make sense of a bad play call, twisting scenarios and finding a reason to go that route. Last night? There was absolutely nothing that justified throwing that ball. Heavy goal line package from New England, try for a quick hitter and if incomplete you run on third, use the time out, and run on fourth. Marshawn had five carries from the one this year - one TD, two for no gain, two for loss. FWIW. I'd have absolutely run it. Three in a row if I could get it off. But I get why they didn't.
