Watch some tut's you could have at least tried to blend the border...You are probably better of working with cutouts unless u have a good tut.. Text and lighting could be improved upon as well. This isn't the best example, but I did a quick 2 minute edit of what you have now. It's not a great example, but I'm just trying to show that you need to mess with the coloring a bit more. I used no stocks btw, but in this situation a nice lighting stock would make this really stand out. You might find this surprising, but continuing to make sigs is one of the biggest factors into improving quickly, but it's vital that you keep experimenting rather than doing the same stuff over and over again. But that's more likely due to getting used to PS; I'm sure I would have found PS confusing if I had used GIMP beforehand.
