Rose More Concerned With Long-Term Health

12 November 2014 - 08:49 PM

"I'm thinking about long term. I'm thinking about after I'm done with basketball. Having graduations to go to, having meetings to go to, I don't want to be in my meetings all sore or be at my son's graduation all sore just because of something I did in the past. [I'm] just learning and being smart."

I don't know whether to agree or disagree with Rose. I can see it from his point of view where he wants to be healthy long term but its kind of a slap to the face to the Bulls fans and organization in my opinion.

Fantasy Basketball

Anyone doing fantasy basketball?

Who do you have on your team?

What players on your team are doing better/worse than you expected?

Anything else to do with fantasy bball?

I've been disappointed with Melo's production so far. His shooting % is laughable and he's grabbing a lot less boards this year.

I'm happy I grabbed Kyle Korver though. He keeps a really high % and does more than just hit 3s.

I love that Derozan has expanded from being strictly points by getting more steals and boards but his shooting % has been pretty bad.

*btw sorry if theres already a fantasy basketball thread somewhere, I couldn't find one but its probably around somewhere*

Kobe Bryant sets record for FG misses

12 November 2014 - 04:10 AM

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Kobe Bryant made history Tuesday, setting the NBA record for missed field goals.

The Los Angeles Lakers star set the mark with 6:22 left in the fourth quarter of a 107-102 lossto the Memphis Grizzlies, when he missed a 14-foot fadeaway jumper from the left side, giving him 13,418 career missed field goals, one more than Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek.

Bryant, now in his 19th NBA season, entered the game 13 missed field goals shy of the record. The 36-year-old guard now stands ahead of Havlicek, Elvin Hayes (13,296), Karl Malone(12,682), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (12,470) and Michael Jordan (12,345).

Kobe loves to shoot da ball.
