Well, a lot of fast food places charge the same as they always do (because they have to), but the portions are a bit smaller...so you'd expect prices to go down, but they don't. Less meat, cheese, chili, etc. It's ridiculous...even some fast food burgers (the actual hamburger and buns) are smaller than they are in surrounding areas.

All of the prices where I live are jacked sky high, just because we're a small community.

Wade wants compensation for Olympic play
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
How do you know I was taking it out of context, if you're "willing to bet" he was laughing? Didn't you say yourself that his attitude has changed over the years? -
Subway sucks where I'm at. We have an independent Subway on our main highway, then one inside of our Wal-Mart, and both are horrible. They put single layers of meat across your sandwich, and if you eat late (let's just say 8 PM), they are always out of something...certain bread, bacon, jalapenos usually. My favorite sub shop was Togo's, when I lived in California. It was incredible.

Thank God this isn't on ESPN. I hope the Spurs decide to take it easy this game, maybe underestimating a Kobe-less Lakers team. I was also hoping that I would win the mega millions, so...

It's funny...when I look over this draft, this could be up there with 1984, 1996 and 2003. I'm not going to say that it will breed 3-4 all-stars and future HOF'ers, but I would put money on it being the best draft since 2003, and one of the more intriguing ones we've seen. I'll put out a mock sometime...but I can already tell it's going to be tough as hell. It's going to be hard for me to predict where those first five teams look (well, 2-6, since Davis is already a Bobcat). I know we'll hear more about it as time goes by, but right now, I'm more excited for the draft than I am the rest of the regular season, despite the Lakers being a three seed.

It would be nice to see Silas just hand the team over to Kemba, and let him do whatever he wants. Charlotte is horrible and will end up with the worst record in the NBA, so might as well give Kemba the green light, just so fans can have a reason to come to the games.
-
I watch every game I can, doesn't matter the team...but if I have to pick one, it has to be Charlotte. They are dead last in too many significant categories: FG%, 3PT%, rebounds, points, nearly last in opponent points...and with an offensive AND defensive rank of 30th, I really have no idea why anyone actually gives a damn about that franchise right about now.

Because it's obvious people are turning OTR's discussions into a troll-fest, and it's probably time for me to start trimming the fat again.

He was in the war, you dumb [expletive]. I would know best, since he's in my family. Your "math problem" that members couldn't solve (whatever it was) doesn't mean squat. I'm a math major anyway. Three rows of people, surrounding 12 guys with weapons...in a split second, ALL of them can release arrows. In that split second, you can't kill all of them BEFORE they do so. And that's only three rows...not even a thousand people. 300 million would dominate, no matter how you spin it, unless you had an atomic bomb and means of dropping one. Not a single person here will agree with you, because it's just hilarious. And for the "lolz" and to stop your obvious trolling, I'll lock your topic.

300 million, at all angles, front lines rushing at the 12 while the rest shooting arrows and throwing objects...no chance, doesn't matter how many bullets you're ripping out of your guns, because once those arrows are in the air, you're done shooting your guns, or you're going to end up looking like a pincushion. You can't mow down enough people, at once, to prevent 300 million from getting off their arrows, and throwing rocks and launching small axes and even spears. That's based on logic. Even then, the split second it takes you to pick up a new weapon, you're going to see thousands of arrows in the air...500 yards (minimum) is five football fields, in all directions, at every angle. Good luck with that.

How much did this game remind me of KU/Memphis? Oh, Walke...oops, Deng, and Rose (the two best in Chicago) missing free throws at the end of a game that should have been sealed, when Mario Chal...I mean, Carmelo Anthony, comes down and drills a three to send it into OT, where the Jayha...I mean, the Knicks, end up winning.

Why is Baron Davis in the NBA?

Suns are toying with us. No Kobe, and Drew finally knows what it's like to be a primary scoring option.

LeBron James: Is the Criticism That He Gets Unfair?
Real Deal replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
If he just left, without having a 60-minute segment, that would have been fine. I know many others would have been mad for him leaving Cleveland, regardless, but it's no different than what a handful of players have done over the years. But, with that said, my dislike for LeBron started before "The Decision" segment...it started with the dancing during games, the shirt that he wore about paying him for his stats, and the disrespect he had towards others during and after games. He went from being my second favorite active player...to a guy I want to see retire without a ring. -
Jordan Crawford is going to fall back into his shooting slump, I can see it from a mile away.

Howard has been lackluster all season long against guys like that, not really playing that hard against good teams (or good defensive players), at least not consistently. You guys do realize just how amazing Chandler was last year, right? Do you remember the game that Dwight Howard absolutely murdered him in? He dropped 26/23 on Chandler, basically manhandling him the entire game, then turned around three weeks later and gave him 23/13 while nursing an injury. Dwight doesn't have problems with Tyson Chandler. This season has been weird for him. He doesn't give a damn, just like he didn't tonight...and you could tell by the way he was playing, without looking at the box score.
-
Howard quit on his team tonight...not sure if he did it because he was pissed at SVG or the organization, but the bigger picture was that he quit on his TEAM.

Clippers struggling against the Kings...looks like they'll pull out a win, though, just barely...as long as they make these free throws (one point game, 18 seconds to go).

Don't understand why Beal is staying. He's the best two-guard in the class. He could be giving that up to Shabazz Muhammad next season.
